Differences in me super SE

Hello guys, i get myself a super me SE today, but the focusing mirror edges are in diagonal pattern instead right angle..

ist normal in SE? coz i cant find any similar related features on web...thx^^

I think the diagonal split prism focusing screen might be the only difference between the normal and SE ME Super. It is mentioned here.

But i found this features on several camera that sell in ebay..
some of the are in diagonal pattern n some are not
its mean the batch different?

I think the OP is referring to the beveled edge of the mirror holder rather than the focus screen. I would be surprised if the SE model had a different mirror holder, but anything is possible, I guess.

Ya...some of the mirror holder are in diagonal shape, even the mirror itself (refer 1st pic)...
n not juz occur in SE model, even in normal me super too....
can someone answer this? whether due to batch production o something else...thx

The split prism in the center of the focusing screen is diagonal instead of straight across (which is how it should be on everything). I know of no other difference unless it was colored different or something too. The cut of the mirror is unrelated, probably a mid production design change to prevent them from hanging up on the foam as easily.

My thoughts as well, though I sort of figured that they might have changed vendors or something similar. Just because Pentax made the camera, doesn't mean that they made everything in it.
