From the K-1000...

Just processed my roll of film from my K-1000. I tried my best to keep the photos interesting and not test out how it works by snapping a bunch of random photos. Name: ducks.jpg

For the last two, do you find color or black and white more interesting? Let me know what you think!

I picked up some Porta 400 as well, looking forward to shooting with that next!

The last shot is much, much better in color. Actually it's a very good photo -- captures the foggy mood perfectly.

Since you ask for feedback, I'll go on a limb. Have you considered cropping the ducks?

For what it's worth, I'll throw my two cents in and vote for the color version on the last two shots above. (Looks like that K1000 is a keeper and in fine working condition).

Best,
Kevin

Asaru- Thanks for the kind words on the landscape shot. I also really like the first crop of the ducks, it makes them look more in focus and hence more interesting.

KJon- Thanks for the vote, after looking at the two for a little I like the color version better myself. I really lucked out on the K-1000, it's in great condition and still works like a champ!

I vote colour as well...it looks much more interesting with the yellow grass in the front and it looks like it's fading to B&W. The rock-face one has interesting detail and shades of grey. The ducks, sorry but I'm being honest, I just think it's an OK shot and would be good as part of a series of "what I did with my day" or something, but as an individual image, it's just OK to me.

My 10 year old daughter (always brutally honest and a camera user for 2 years) says:

Ducks - "Awesome - I like the deep green of the head colour"
Rocks - "Cool - I want this as our background"
Reeds - "Black and White is nicer - gives an old fashioned feel. This picture makes me want to go for a walk outside."
