Film advance mechanism seems disconnected

Hello,

When I picked up my PENTAX P3 camera today to put film in it I pulled the film advance lever and it was able to swing across completely but didn't advance the film. So I opened up the back and when I pulled the advance lever nothing happened inside the camera. Does anyone know if this can be fixed without spending a lot of money, or if I could possibly fix it myself?

Make sure the rewind button isn't stuck on the bottom of the camera and the rewind crank is pressed in and flush.

I double checked and the rewind button isn't stuck and the crank is as flush as I can make it, but the crank still won't work.

If the wind lever isn't moving, you just need to fire the shutter to allow it to advance again.
If you're already doing this and the right spool isn't turning with the lever....here is a link to a P30(same thing) service manual. Good luck, seems internal.
