Thanks,

What light meter is that?

More Chinon stuff then! (apologies for my dusty kit and bad photos - no good light in my house and I've left my white booth elsewhere so outside I trot!)

Chinonflex TTL with the dreamy Chinon/Tomioka 55/1.4

Infrafocus 35F-MA - the other application of the original AF system that was on the crazy SLR lenses

Bellami

Belami AF (nobody knows where the second 'l' went)

Infrafocus sample (Lomography 100CN)

Bellami sample (Kodak BW400CN)

Full Chinon CE-5 set, comprising body, infrared AF lens, interval control power winder, 30 character alphanumeric Infoback-2 and PRO-1090C flash. It's like holding a small city and feels as heavy as one when it's slung around your neck. So bulky in fact that I had to take it outside and photograph it with the Q10.

Chinon, despite being relatively unknown, produced some remarkable equipment in their time and in my opinion this is the zenith (pun not intended) of late 70s/early 80s accessory automation. Of course, it's a nightmare to use - switch on the camera, position your eye behind the brick-like infoback, press the focus button on the side of the lens, press the shutter release, type your imprint, set the infoback to 'MEMORY', press 'IMPRINT', then wind. Repeat 36 times. But it's a fascinating bit of kit and I love it dearly.
Thatís a frightening kit, but in a good way!

Phil.

What fun! I would love to have one, but have not come across a working copy.

I am addicted to Retinas. Having just paid top dollar for a 111S mentioned a couple of weeks ago, I have now added a CLA'd Retina 111C (from Certo6) with three lenses, hood, case and filters for all lenses.

Found these three in an antique store for a reasonable price . They have some defects though. The two f1.4 lenses have a small amount of fungus and the 20mm seems to have specks of residue on the outside of the front element. The price was right and I have been after a f1.4 for a while.
