First time posting here, as my dad just gave me his Pentax camera equipment. So this morning I've been taking some photos and thought I'd share them with you.

I was very impressed with his collection and the condition.

What do you think?

That's quite nice and lucky you ... enjoy it all, J

Wow, that's quite a collection and a very nice gift. The MX is a great camera and you've got some nice lenses there to go with it.

Who uses AF for macro? With focus peaking, a very weak AA filter and a great sensor, the K-01 is a very capable macro camera.

Indeed, looks like your dad really took good care of it. Excellent kit!

Excellent kit. Your father is clearly an organized man, keeping his equipment so well maintained. What ever has made him give it up? I say this because your kit looks much like mine which I bought in 1977, and can't imagine letting go of it.

She/he will never find it ... I have now hidden it in the closet among all the Zenith and Prakticar gear ... ha!

If you ever find yourself in Paris, try this address: 72, avenue des Gobelins.

I used to live about ten minutes from this shop and avoided it like the plague ... because I could spend a fortune there. Did buy some Minolta gear - lenses - there when I was shooting only that brand (I had left my Pentax gear with my sister in the States before moving to France.)

The shop is run by a Chinese man and ten years ago you could bare squeeze through the tall shelving. Visited last month and saw this. A woman minding the store, but now one can barely open the store front door! Stuff now is piled on the floor and between the shelves so that it's impossible to enter physically into the store. To get to the back, one would have to climb over a mountain of gear!

Heaven ... I could spend days there !!!

Searching Tak lenses for me ... didn't buy anything though.

My daughter Marianne ... this is as far as the front door could open ... see floor.

Inside taken from the front door with a DA 15 Ltd. ... use the Minolta X-700 as a reference point ...

Heaven, I tell you ... heaven!

Yes, Indeed... I'm starting to feel inadequate here with all these awesome cameras and lenses (I have resolved to take a break and sell rather than buy)

I got nothing! Well, this looks kind of cool and is new-ish

I'm selling a lot more than I'm buying. In a way I'm consolidating my system.
