So... this happened today.
Not bad for $100
A FE2 with a 50mm f1.2 lens for $100 is the score of the day - any day, especially if they are functional and no scratches and fungus on the lens!

They are both basically unused looking
And it came with a 2nd unused looking FE2 with a damaged shutter.

Also consider night or indoor photography and hauling a pocket full of 40-watt sized screw-base flash bulbs and stuffing one after another into a Kalart flash gun while adjusting the exposure from memory.
I hauled one of those around back in the '60s as a USAF photog. Speaking of the screw base flash bulbs, occasionally an unnamed nitwit would replace the light bulb in the darkroom with one of those. Then the unlucky developer turned the light back on after 15 minutes of darkness. Wow, the language that would come out through the door! Yikes!

I will double your investment right now if you wish to part with the set. Triple even! And you can even keep the 2nd FE2 . . .

Impressive with the turret top. I suppose the designs of these Soviet cameras are pretty good, but the real challenge is to get one with quality workmanship.

Actually the turret was a rip off of the Contax universal finder, of course adapted to use the standard Soviet RF system (Orion 15, Jupiter 12, 8, 9 and 11):

The Zeiss/KMZ finder is much better than the Leica ones, they also offer parallax compensation.

Regarding the Soviet cameras, I found the best quality comes with the simpler camera, so the most reliable are the Zorki 5,6 and Fed 2 (they don't have slow speeds), the worst design are the complex and sophisticated cameras like the Leningrad and the Almaz 103.

I just finished to shoot a roll of Portra 400 with this Z6, I'm looking forward to seeing the results, I find it a very nice camera to use, it's small, simple, has a hinged door, nice viewfinder, large base rangefinder, in short a sort of Contax/Leica hybrid with modern features.

That's what's mainly kept me away from the older Zorkis: I just can't deal with the bottom-loading. I keep thinking of trying to find me a decently-priced Z3 in good condition one of these days.

Haha but yours is more sophisticated and cultured! I don't use my pentax 40 much because I have the Voigtlander 40 but whenever I feel the urge to sell it, I end up using it where it's perfect. (Or I'm just trying to justify keeping it. One of those)
