It's an OK camera, but a bit heavy & ugly. I'd classify it as about on par with an original Spotmatic in terms of functionality. (Though it, unlike the SP, has an all-metal shutter.)

These two (plus others) showed up at my thrift store and I could not resist.

The Lomo is like "brand new" and I have never seen Komura 35mm inter-changable (38-90/3.5) ... it needs a good clean inside the front elements, and the "macro" looks quite interesting through the VF.

I may file off the Fujica mount bump so that I can shoot it on the K-3. Anyone ever had any experience with Komura ? ... quite curious here.

Spending a lot for another 35mm wen I just divested myself of 35mm equipment feels wrong, haha, seems better to get a cheapie. I intend to get a Pentacon Six and some cheap Russian lenses in addition to the biometar. The Jupiter and Vega and Kiev lenses have nice character.
Talking about the devil, I just got a Fed 2L for 20 quid:

HOPEFULLY it will work.

Definitely! With the feel and texture of LX skin, downright sexy.

I mounted a bit of a gear p0rn session this morning, stopped when my flash ran out of batteries (just as well as otherwise I could have been there all morning...).

This was mainly to get shots of my DA limited line-up, which has just had the 15mm added to it, but as this is a film gear thread I haven't posted them here.

A comparison shot to see the size difference between the Sigma 28-70 f/2.8-4 and the Sigma 28-70 f/2.8 constant aperture. The former is much smaller, lighter, easier to use and has better image quality too. Cameras are MZ-6 and MZ-5N.

Cool! Yours looks a lot like mine except for the lens.

FED-2(L?), type D6, ca.1963, ser. 3546375

Your I-61 is full "Panda" while mine is only "half Panda". As mentioned in my previous post, I don't think mine is the genuine article. Out of curiosity, how may aperture blades on your I-61? Does the aperture ring have click stops? Also, what is your body serial number?

Steve

It's a crappy cellphone pic and not entirely gear porn, but this is a poster that's up from one of the sponsors of the local film fest. It caused me to do a double-take the first time I spotted it.

Anyone want to make a guess as to the model of camera in the base image?

Contax III or Kiev 3.

That's interesting, I have never seen a I 61 like that one, the first version with two black rings is already unusual, but for the rest it looks like mine.

My specimen has 10 or 12 blades, now I don't remember exactly, it closes to f22 and with my great surprise it feels declicked, even if the I26M had clicks.

The camera I bought that I still have to receive is numer 4585637, the serial number of the lens starts with 066 (the other silver I 61 I have is even earlier, 011...), yours like a 66 lens though!

Close! It's a Kiev 4. The rewind knob and flash sync give it away.

Well, some Kiev 3 have the flash sync in that position, for the rewind know it looks suspiciously similar to my Contax IIIa.

The Kiev 3A got flash sync, yeah. They still used the large Contax III-style rewind knobs, however.

(I'd guess it's a late-model 4, as it's got a self timer switch similar to my mid-70s 4A.)

However, under instigation of Alan Smithee and all his women I finally bought a Nokton, my greatest regret is that I couldn't find it in K mount.

Now, the expression "King of Bokeh" has been overused, but this what this lens can do at f1.4:

In the bicycle shot there are several bright-doughnut OOF highlights.
