Hi guys !

Does one of you know if a KX would fit properly in a Spotmatic case ? I've located some original KX case but people won't sell it without the cameras. From what I understand, the KX and KM had the same case. I have two original cases for Pentax cameras, one for the K1000 and one for the K2. The K1000 one is really thin and although I glued it is falling apart, the K2 one is made of hard leather and feels really solid. Of which kind is the KX/KM case ?

The Spotmatic has a different case than the KX/KM, which shared the same case. This case was also used for the original 1976 MIJ K1000.

The K2/K2DMD had a different soft EverReady case. All the K Series cases are made of the same material. (The dedicated case for the later K1000s is more square looking, smaller and different material)

One more of the Bessa... after just a couple days short of a month of waiting for arrival from Ural region of Russia, the R3m has a black Jupiter-8 ... worth the wait based on initial impressions. Steve you were right a couple weeks back - very nice match indeed. I'd love to throw the Helios-103 on here as you've done, but can't justify the adapter... as months wear on perhaps I'll find a way to do so.

EDIT: Hmmmm... I may have spoke far too soon. Just found quite a bit of dust and/or cleaning material bits inside the elements. :-/ Didn't notice til they caught a particular light. Also there appears not to be a single shim between the optical and focusing portions. Anyone know if these later black version did not have shims? Now I'm worried about RF accuracy with this thing, though I don't have a ground glass to check with.

EDIT-2: well, it does all appear to be just fibers and not scratches, so probably won't matter much. Overall I'd say I overreacted. Still am concerned about the lack of any shims however. We'll see how this roll turns out.

Nice! How is the 135 mm f2.5? I already have a lot of K lenses and I've never been too comfortable with 135mm (too long for portraits, too short as tele) but that lens always fascinated me.

I was much the same to be honest - I've always been more comfortable with 90-100mm as a short tele, and didn't hang on to the 135/f2.5 for long... That said, it's a great lens, as used prices indicate!

Here's some shots adapted on a GH2 (2x crop) - I can't find any on film...

At infinity (middling aperture I'd guess)...

And up close (wide open)...

I used a K135/3.5 as my only telephoto lens for decades. It's a good all around tele and you get used to the focal length and adapt. It's fine for portraites, you just have to move further back from your subject. Outdoors this is not usually an issue.

It looks like I bought a Retina IIa with a Heligon 50/2 in 2009.

I have no memory of this nor the camera, which I found in my desk drawer in its neverready case.
Oh now something is coming back, the rf linkage is stuck. That almost seems familiar.

I wonder if a screwdriver will help?

[Ambiguity there: a screwdriver for the camera, or for my head, or a vodka drink?]

Anyway, what goes on when there are too many cameras in too many places...

I hate it when that happens ...

I have seemed to have "lost" a Minolta SR-T 101 that was better (cosmetically) than the one I have in my hands now ... Did I goof and sell it ?! ...

I think that it's quite nice and the 135mm on APS-C is not a negative for me ... YMMV.

Most of my gear shots are with my Ricoh GR or the K-3 (with either the FA 50/2.8 Macro or FA 31)... This one wasn't.

MZ-3 | (one of the above lenses - I genuinely can't remember which) | Provia 100F
