SO last week i bought a Carena SFL2 from my local 2nd hand store for $18... Winding arm jammed out and shutter wouldn't fire. In about an hour i got it fixed and working after taking the top and bottom off. Went back and bought the 135mm lens for it they had there for an extra $10. Then gave the terminals in my Nikon F301 a clean and now its working all good too.

While i was asleep, lightning struck the tree outside my window. It shredded off a inch thick pieces of timber all about the size of a mans arm and threw them upto 15 meters away. Tree sap splattered the side of the garden shed. And when it happened i could see this most amazing bright orange flash of light. Here are the results.

Was not expecting this one at all ... there was a "boot sale" next to the outdoor market where I buy the veggies, etc. on Sunday morning.

Everything works with new batteries and bought the big camera bag with all below in it for 35€ ... the AX-5 and winder are quite nice and I want to try it with the EBC 35/2.8. Plus the ST 901 has a very cool LED readout ... never seen this one before. The zoom is a Kiron Vivitar "Series 1" 70-210/3.5 (n° 22xxxxxxx) in M42. Unfortunately it has some "deep" fungus, but I will clean it to my best ... fingers crossed here.

This was someone's nice Fujica kit ... and as per the warranty cards, it was purchased in Poitiers, too.

The AX5 is in working condition is a nice camera (better than the Super A and the Canon A-1 IMO) while I don't like the ST901 much.

Thanks. I am impressed with the feature set and build/handling of the AX-5 and reading the manual now ... and enjoying the English spelling/grammar errors, etc. I have an EBC X 50/1.6 (with fungus

) up in the attic ... maybe I should dig it out and see if it's salvageable. I bought it on a whim at the thrift store for 2€ ...

You should try to get the Fujinon/Porst 50mm f1.2, fabolous lens, the best 1.2 I own.

Thanks again ... and you don't know my thrift store. Nothing is beyond the realm of possibility !

And it took the best part of an hour tonight, but I have pretty much cleaned up and saved the Kiron zoom ... really "easy" overall; it came apart like butter. Pulled 4 front elements out to remove all the fungus and then went back together as "easy as pie" ... really great, great build quality here. Really.

technicaly the 18-55 cover the FF from 24 to 55.

It work fine on any A mount body that can countrol aperture without aperture ring.

And yes, i've tested it and still use it from time to time.
