I now have two of the Minolta Hi-Matic AF models.
The one on the left is the AF2 model, which needed the battery compartment cleaned, batteries exploded, LOL. Works great so far.
The one on the right is the AF model. I am having a hard time deciding which I like better. The half press focus lock is more convenient than the focus lock button. I ran a roll of 100 Ultrafine through the AF2 today and will process it later today, but I fully expect delicious results.

The AF model works wonderfully with color Fuji 200

And the rear view mirror authenticates the equipment that was used.

Though I will admit that the idea of "discount fireworks" doesn't exactly fill me with a safe feeling.

Agreed, however what I find more unsettling is that they also advertise pizza sales, as well as tobacco products and other assorted smoking accouterments. I have never seen a pizza come from that store, but I do buy smokes there.
I tend to stay away during fireworks seasons, people have no sense of idiocy sometimes. :-)

Now this added to my Yashica RF collection. The YL came out in 1959 with either a 2.8 or 1.9 lens. The rewind lever flips out from underneath, connecting via three cogs. There is a rangefinder on it, but no light meter. This early Yashica would have been too expensive to make in large market quantities, and was soon replaced with the M (minister series). There don't seem to be many around.

I went to the annual swap at Pont-Saint-Martin (just south of Nantes) today and scored many a goodie ... mostly trade "ups" via swaps, etc.

Had a blast and moved some gear that was earmarked for Internet sales ... so now, a lot is gone and no hassling with boxing stuff up for the postage, etc. and I love to hunt and dicker over prices ...

Here are a few images early in the morning before it got too crowded ... can you find "Mr. Mamiya" ?!

Maybe my best swap and a very good purchase from today. I had sold my Olympus 35 SP recently and regretted it ever since. So after having hit three or four stands with my slightly cosmetically challenged second Yashica Mat 124G, I scored a minty SP (on left) which is great because I had only 30€ in this Yashica and kept its nice case. And for 10€, I scored a rough, but fully working SP, as well, but I need to open the front (if possible) to remove some fungus.

So I went from ZERO SP to two in about 30 minutes time ... and don't worry, I am going to keep the nice one this time (damn it)

Wow Jean, I wish we had a swap meet like that here even just to go look at the historical artifacts.

Yeah, it's a nice and very well organized swap with a photo exhibit/contest, too.

A bit of a drive to Nantes, but worth it ... and I am going to another smaller swap at the end of this month in Tours which is only an hour north of me.

A new accessory for the Yashica Mat 124G thanks to my thrift store ... a cased "YASHINON AUX WIDEANGLE" with viewer lens.
We are going to find your thrift store one of these days and when we do...it won't be pretty

...After that we are going to find your swap meet too...

A pic of my Oly 35RC, shot on paper negative, with two flash bursts with my Burke&James 2x3 press camera.

It's not Super Ikonta, but it'll do for the price.

Shutter seems to occasionally have second thoughts about firing at 1/200. I'm hoping that a bit of exercise will give it the confidence it needs. (It fires, but requires a bit more pressure on the release button to get it to do so.)

Is that lens attached to a 517/16? I have one of those and I like the images it produces a lot. I've never found the slow lens to be a problem as long as I choose properly when I use the camera.
