I've learned to accept some... uhhhh... "eccentricities" when it comes to FSU cameras.

How is the shutter curtain on your Fed-2 damaged? I had a nice sized portion material from the rubberized side missing on the trailing curtain of one of my Zorkis. I filled it in with two careful sessions of liquid E-tape application. Worked perfectly.
There's a missing chunk of rubber on the leading curtain. I like your solution, that's pretty clever. I might try that.

I found the idea in an old post over on the Rangefinder forums. Just don't glob it on to heavily. I just used tiny dabs at a time with a toothpick. Let it dry and did it again one or maybe two times. It stays flexible and doesn't contract when dries, plus it's black obviously so it worked quite well. I had a very noticeable light-leak on all my shots the first couple rolls - they're gone from the two most recent rolls since the repair.

The culprit.

The effect.

My "used" Canon 50/1.8 STM arrived this morning and it looks brand new and very handsome on the EOS 30. This is my first lens with a modern, quiet in-built focus motor - wow! It works beautifully.

I never thought I'd own any Canon gear but I have to say I like it. This lens is lighter but better built than the Pentax FA 50/1.7 I have.

I got.a glut of Canon film gear, and the silence of the AF is truly astounding. The bodies i used were Eos A2s (EOS 5 in Europe) and one was so smooth and quiet i didnt even hear it rewind!

My Pentax Auto 110 gear. All the major conponents of the system are represented. The common 18, 24 and 50mm lenses, and the rarer 18 pan focus, 20-40 zoom and 70mm lenses, as well as both flashes and a winder.

All i need is a 110 super body.

And the ?Sigma teleconvertor...

Lovely set. I always liked the case with 'Pentax' in different sizes printed on it. One day GAS will get me again and I'll get a 110 outfit. I already have one lens and a developing spool...

The Soligor 1.7x TC was not manufactured by Pentax. I don't consider it part of the set. Not that I don't want one, of course.

As far as the case, do you mean this?

Here's a photo of my Kodak Retinette, a beautiful little camera. Taken with Canon EOS 300, Tamron 28-75/2.8 and FP4+.

That looks like the Retinette 1B. Have you tried it out yet? Some of my best pictures were with the Retinette 1A. (no rangefinder or light meter on it) Here is an example taken in 1961, you can see the date on the registration in the window. The Retinettes and Retinas until the early sixties were works of art. They went cheap and nasty after that.
