Does anyone know what is the history of these ever-ready cases?
It seems to me that they were the earlier cases, mostly pre Spotmatic. The silver metalwork was like that seen on some German or Retina cameras like this one from the very early sixties.

I have seen Spotmatics with the hard brown cases, but only rarely. My Minolta SRT 101 (vintage 1969) has a black hard case of similar construction.

That's nice to hear, then. I bought it off ebay from a guy in Israel for $1, wasn't expecting much, to be honest, but it isn't too bad.

I walked past a photo store today and saw a Flektogon 2.4/ 35 for a very reasonable price. My Carl Zeiss Jena Trilogy is thus complete!

At first it seemed too obvious a choice. But I figured, what the hay.

So, may I be first in line when you're ready to sell?

Edit: Nice camera BTW, and yes, I'm jealous.

Love the Pentax K! Tell me, does the shutter speed dial rotate during exposure?

The rotating shutter speed dial stopped rotating with the H2/S2 - after the K.

Hi Steve

Yes it rotates. Not the slow speed dial but the top dial. It also rotate when advancing the film. This is true for all early pentax and asahiflex until the release of the S2/H2.

I really enjoy these old early versions, and I must say that without Eric they would just sitt on the shelf, but now they can be used.
