Originally posted by K-Three Those A lenses just look funny on M bodies, guess it's what you are used to, I missed that whole late period of film era Pentax, just have M and K lenses for my MX & LX. Stopped buying new gear in the mid-80s. But, backward compatibility is nice.
Never really cared, though I suppose do think the FAs look a bit odd on them, but that never stops me mounting them either. Build quality is nearly as good - I've rotated through many of all varieties, K - M - A - FA etc.... Whatever I could find a good price on over the years. I've a K50/1.2 but it lives on the LX most the time - have always felt it's just slightly too large to feel balanced on the MXs. None of this is "new" gear.

I can just hear it now.
Husband: "Yes, but it's a DA! A14 two-eight! And it's ED even! ED!"
Wife: "Oh really. So this will be your silver bullet, eh?"
Husband: "As a matter of fact, I think it might be -- no that's the 35 . . ."
Wife: "So how much is this ED you can't live without?"
Husband: "Well, it's only four-mumble mumble, cheaper than most!"
Wife: "You realize, don't you, there are no prenups to our marriage?"
Husband: "Huh?"
Wife: "Half mine, hubby dearest. Half mine."
I lean personally toward A when I go a-huntin for anything these days which is rare, really. The prices are generally nearly the same and it's nice to have the A in case I'd like to throw it on the K-3 and use Av. I do think the M and K models are bit prettier and certainly a bit better built.

and now, some more Bessa-porn. This thing is just a sexy beast. I actually snapped this with quite a few to put it up for sale, and now, for now, I've literally changed my mind. hahaha
