Have not posted in ages, but the acquisitions continue ... here, two sets of cameras from four separate finds ... just making my inventory rather quick and ugly mug shots ... (xpost)

Originally in QBM but moded to dumb K-mount. No clearance issues with ME Super.
That's nice and does it go to infinity?

I have (force) mounted a QBM with a home-made felt spacer ... it would go to only about 2 yards if memory serves me correctly.

You better not have gotten that FD 1.2 for €5 as usual.

Nope. Not this time. Multiply 5€ by 22 and that was the delivered cost ...

I am "Facebook friends" with a camera shop in La Rochelle and they post their "newly acquired" used gear at the end of the week. This came up and I call as soon as I saw it to ask if it was really a "1.2" ... thinking that they had over-priced a "1:2" lens. Once assured, I reserved it and sent a check the next day. Bingo.

The A-1 and winder ended up being a "freebie" ... I paid for it with shipping from Germany via eBay with a fun Soligor 28-105/3.5-4.5 attached. Unfortunately, the filter rim arrived damaged (not as pictured in auction) and I ask for a reduction. The seller said the he would give me half of that asked amount, but I had to withdraw my eBay claim first. I said "no" and we went back and forth until I contacted eBay to complain further. They sent me a nice email stating that a message was sent to the seller stating that he had to furnish the return shipping costs. That apparently never happened and eBay later, after the appropriate waiting period, told me that I was reimbursed the total amount including my shipment cost ... AND that I could keep the camera. This has never happened to me ... a freebie, go figure. So, double bingo, I guess.

Now, I need to get out my specialty tool and reshape the filter rim on the Soligor ... and maybe put it up for sale ... ha!

Special tool?

Pictures?

I have considered a tool to fix dented filter threads, perhaps it is what I have in mind.

Yes. Infinity on ME Super (the hyperfocal scale is nail on, and the hard stop infinity is infinity) and NEX-6 with a Mitakon LT II (reaching infinity on the 5m mark and is not hard stop). Haven't tried on my K-S2, though.

Gear for today

Today is a really nice day here in Norway. Camera is packed and loaded with Velva 50.

Today the choise is Pentax K - with the all-black Auto-Tak 50mm f1.8, Auto-Tak 35mm f2,3 and Tak 83mm f1.9. Just in case, a Tak 135mm f3.5 is also in the bag.

Hope for some nice pics

That's the only light meter I have. It does work nicely. :-)

Don't apologize for showing us such neat gear. Do you have the 'eyes' to go with it?

I thought that the dual-range f2 Sumicron was only offered in rigid mount, not collapsible

It isn't collapsible but it extends in the close up range.

Yes, that's what I was saying. SFAIK the collapsible version of the f2 Sumicron was not, could not be fitted with the "eyeglasses" over the rangefinder windows to provide "dual range" focusing. Dual-range Sumicrons were only made in rigid form. One of my photo-buddies in college had a DR f2 Sumicron on his M3, and right proud he was of it despite the fact that my lowly Asahi Pentax S could easily focus closer with either a close-up filter or switching to my 50mm f4 preset Macro Takumar without the need for an expensive parallax-correction device.
