Always fun to get back a first roll from a camera (provided it worked correctly )
Please share.
I'm scanning the first roll from my Kodak Retina IIa at the moment will post some results soon.
The Nettax worked great and I'm scanning right now
Ooo.. a Retina IIa! I just got a IIIc and I love it, but I still want a Retina II.

OK guys ... what would you do ... my really, really lucky thrift store acquisitions form yesterday ...

- A fully working Olympus OM-2 with a clean, but cosmetically worn Angénieux 35-70/2.5-3.3 ... do I convert/keep it or sell/trade it or other (?)
- A Vivitar Series 1 24-48/3.8 with clean optics, but oily blades and rough cosmetics with a generic case

Plus a Durst M305, working without lens ...

Here is something slightly different, I think: an Asahi Pentax Case. Made and stitched beautifully in leather.

Purchased new by a family friend in Barbados of all places, circa 1971. (Actually I was there...as a very young kid).

I've put a Spotmatic along-side to show the case's size - its quite big. It held the camera, a S-M-C Takumar 55mm 1.8; a Super Takumar 24mm 3.5; and a Super Takumar 200mm f4, plus assorted lens filters and films, all bought in the same shop.

Great find, sell it. If I remember your photo of your M-series lenses, you need a M85mm f2. I may be wrong but I don't think you have one. A great lens. I know. I don't own one. But I tried one out at a shop last year, took some pictures, didn't buy it, went back, it was gone...but EVERY time I look at the photos I took that day, on my pc, I weep. I've been so upset, I got a K85mm 1.8, but still those other pictures haunt me.

How is it your thrift store has all this really great camera and photography gear, and mine just has a bunch of junk and old ladies clothes?

More film on film action. The view is through a Pentax LX 35mm with waist lever finder. Shot with my Hasselblad 500cm / 80mm C T* lens and extension tube on T-Max 400.

Why must you tease me with the WLF? I've been looking for one for mine but no dice

If it makes you feel any better I actually used two WLF's for this shot, one on the Hasselblad too I scoured ebay for a while to find my LX WLF. It's a lot of fun to use and stealthy for street photography. Plus the LX has such a nice/advanced metering system that I can hip fire with confidence. Good luck on the hunt!

Have you ever checked "Ffordes" in the UK ... they had one a while back; plus they have about 8 LX's and several winders & 3 grips, too ... J

Just FYI for those of you that like to bang around gear collection vendor sites ... here's the English version page of "French Camera" ... he's pricey, but it's quality gear ... Salut, J

vente d

Edit : well, the link to the English page doesn't want to work now, but there's an icon of a UK flag on the home page ...

Thanks utak ... I have already put it up on a French site just so see what kind of "hits" I would get on the Angéniuex. (No price asked, just best offer)

And on the other hand, I have also contacted Leitax, and it looks like one their Olympus Zuiko mounts (to PK) may fit the Angénieux without any mods ... maybe I will keep it for myself for a while ... Salut, J
