I do have a couple cameras that I know where they came from:

My "AKA Relle" rangefinder came from my father in-law and he bought it new in Germany in the late 1950's.
My "Spotmatic", "Espio 150 SL" & "Rollei 35 TE" came from a retired coworker I used to work with. (He now shoots digital, so offloaded all his film cameras on me)
MY "6x7 MLU" was a Craigslist buy and the seller knew who the original owner was. It was purchased in Saskatchewan Canada with the 90mm LS lens, around 1976 – 1979. I’m the third owner.

Other than that the rest are unknown....

Phil.

Yeah most of us just buy used cameras online and have no clue on their backstory.

In all seriousness, just asking the question can get you a long way. I've picked up a number of cameras from Gumtree and similar, and just asking the seller 'do you know where this came from' can yield all sorts of interesting tales. This is especially true of old cupboard finds being sold off by family members.

One of my favourite cameras, my black Minolta SRT101, I bought with a 50/1.7 for just €30 from the original owner. He had hiked over the mountains from Spain to Andorra and back again in order to buy the camera at a lower price (due to lower taxes). Perhaps all that effort to get it is why it's still in such good condition.

Nice find! I've been keeping an eye out for one of these myself. Interesting camera.

I've got one of these and it almost work...seems the high shutter speeds aren't opening or closing as fast as they open....no light gets through. Under low light or indoor light it works fine.

It is very interesting. This one came with film already in it. I put fresh batteries in it and everything seems to light up. I have been playing with it around the hobby room. I will see how things are working when I find a place that can develop it.

You might try Dwaynes -- or however they spell it. Seems like they're the go-to lab for odd stuff.

Almost any lab can develop the negs... but scanning and printing need a 110 holder... or your own dslr and a macro lens...

I've recently revived my 2 Mirandas...both of which had power problem...cleaning battery contacts and on/off switch contact brought the metering back to life. I've always liked Mirandas because of the changeable viewfinders.

After a two month wait the Auto Takumar 55/1.8 ZEBRA finish lens to go with my Asahi Pentax K arrived from Japan.
Both camera and lens should date to late 1958 or early 1959

This is m first shot with my new K70, first venture into the DSLR world. I used my old Pentax M-50 mm lens at 800 ISO (IIRC). Didn't record the f stop or speed. Thought it might be of interest to some, not many of these around, Pentax 110 SLR with three lenses, autowinder and flash.

Now you have to reciprocate... we expect a photo taken by your Auto 110 of the K70
