I used to own a Konica II rangefinder with the Hexanon 50/2.8. It's a gorgeous camera and a really good lens...I don't know why I sold it.
I'll admit to being pleasantly surprised at how good that 75mm f4.5 really is.
I was expecting it to be OK, but it seems to be really good, despite the slow speed.
And really, in a rangefinder, the slower speed doesn't matter as much as it does in a SLR, especially with modern "high speed" films like ISO 100

X-posting...

Two of the new additions, a pair of Takumars...Super-Takumar 135/2.5 (5-Element) & Tele-Takumar 200/5.6

I understand these are not mounted, but are still pretty lovely film era examples. I also have the 200/4, but it did not make the photoshoot.

Trio of 200mm Lenses Mounted

After the other post, I had to do it...

1. Spotmatic with a Sankyo Koki Komura 200mm 3.5
2. K1000 with a Super-Takumar 200mm 4
3. ME Super with a Tele-Takumar 200mm 5.6 Preset

I just love how the Tele-Tak's size compliments the ME Super...

I've yet to get many keeper shots on Digital with it (and those taken in film not yet developed).

It's huge, bulky, need time to frame the shot. Also, I had to add an extension tube (No. III or No. II, I do not remember) so that I can convert it to M42 (I think it was a Leica mount that I unscrewed).

It has lots of blades, full circle closed down, so I bet if I can spot some wild life I can get it as sharp as possible with nice bokeh. However, the lens is not digital sharp (I did not get it for that purpose)

I do believe this was at f8:

Looks adequately digital sharp in that capture. I would keep it.

I know what you mean, though. I have a Jupiter-9, but not for its cutting sharpness, though it is plenty sharp at f/8!

Ohh it's a keeper! Indeed.

A Jupiter I'm hunting for is the 11A...

Pair one of those with the 80-200 f2.8... it sounded like a tugboat...
"Engine room, I need infinity focus, flank speed..."

It was a really solid camera otherwise, though... and everything was slow back then except Canon...

It's probably a good thing I never used a SF-10 with the Pentax FA* 80-200 f2.8...

Not as slow as this beauty though:

I quite enjoy using it in a masochistic sort of way. and some of the images have been quite nice.

I'm certainly enjoying it. That Nikon shutter sound is quite something.

It goes to 1/8000s, takes four AAs without a grip and very importantly for a film SLR if you want it to last, the rear door latch is made of metal, not plastic.
