What's wrong with you?
lol

It looks like a cross between a breathalyzer, a vape and a pocket radio!

But it works surprisingly well..

Hello,
It refers to the film advance mechanism. Here is the link to that project's thread.

Pentax SL with 50mm f/1.4 S-M-C Takumar, both just back from service by Eric Hendrickson.

Heritage Flight

I know, 1/3rd of this is not legal in this thread, but did not know another place this would fit:

Three chrome bodies, three fast 50s. Better than 50-years of Pentax
K3III w/ DA50/1.8; MX w/M50/1.7; Spotmatic w/50/1.4 SuperTak

Biggest thing that surprised me was that I had 4 tripods to make this shot work,

Would like to see them go back to the Spotmatic type face, that thin font would look good on a current body
And add the AOC logo on the prism

My son gave me grief for taking photos of the new camera, not with it. Some folks just don't understand.

I set up this display in my office yesterday (five Minoltas and a Pentax). Sorry about the picture quality - this is a quick snapshot from my phone.

Hopefully those are also all as functional as they look in great condition!
BTW, which of those has the smoothest film advance?

That's a good question. I'd have to check and get back to you, but my guess is that it would be the Japanese Minolta XD. BTW, the imitation brown lizard leather was an original option only available in Japan. I purchased that one from a Japanese seller.

And, oh yes, they all work, but the ES II has a sticky mirror return mechanism and the two rangefinders need their shutters cleaned and lubed, but these are small issues to work out when I have the time.

Of course I would expect the rangefinders to have a smoother film advance over the slrs as they don't have a mirror to lift.
Which models are those?
