Cool! You will need special skinny finger powers to adjust the ISO/ASA, but aside from that all should be easy.

Provided the ASA ring is not stuck, as it most probably is.

The ASA ring is NOT stuck, at least, so the seller says....it was the first thing I asked!

He also said that he CLAd the camera some time ago and light seals are relatively new...however I'll find it out soon.

One of my all time favorite cameras.
If the ISO dial is working correctly, forget about the exposure compensation and just use the ISO to compensate. I found it easier, quicker, and you get 1/3 stops.
I found the shutter button felt just slightly too short, so a soft release button really improved it.

My K2,
That's an hell of a camera! I would love to get one in black but most of them look chewed...which hood is it? However the general impression is that the camera is slick as a black '85 Trans Am.

Other pics of the K2:

And I already have this baby waiting for her:

Now, I know that some people think I'm a little fixed with serial numbers, but...do K2s numbers work as the K1000s?

I've enjoying the K2 p0rn here today . I love my KX and have a KM waiting to be film tested, plus my grandmother's recently-discovered K1000 (with K 35/3.5!) to be tried out too. A K2 or K2 DMD would be lovely one day, especially in black.

My Big Pentaxes...I only have the 645 until Friday, when I'll be trading it for a Q. I have a limited budget and storage space, and even more limited time for shooting, so the 6x7 is replacing the little 645. The 67 is great, even though the TTL prism doesn't work, but the seller is working with me.

The Spotmeter is a Pentax Spotmeter V. Perfect companion to an unmetered 6x7

And "Camera and Coffee" with my K-5 and Pentax LX with FA-2.

That camera strap connection to the body looks like what's on my Hasselblad brand strap. The P6x7 strap is different. Is that what came with the camera or did you put that on?

No all K2 s/n will start with 7xxxxxx. The camera was only in production from June 1975 to 1977 and all were made in Japan.

It came in chrome or black with the microprism or split focusing screen.

I've got three K2s and two K2DMDs and the numbers range from 703xxxx to 715xxxx. By comparison my KMs are 810xxxx, 813xxxx and 822xxxx and the KXs range from 825xxxx to 846xxxx. My lowest serial MG is a 719xxxx and I have an MZ5 with a 703xxxx serial that is just 500 numbers lower than the K2. Oh yes, I also have an M120/2.8 with a 703xxxx serial number. Trying to decipher Pentax serial numbers is an exercise in futility, the only relation is to other examples of the same item.

Mine actually kinda beat up, but it works great and cost me $25. Like I said before, it's one of my all time favorites.
I use the hood for the K85/1.5-K105/2.8 on my K50/1.4. It works great but it's sometimes difficult to find.

The strap is an extremely comfortable, stylish, well made, American made Op/Tech USA strap, the Op/Tech Super Pro strap:

OP/TECH USA Super Pro Strap

Designed to support Medium-format cameras with body lugs, I ordered it with the "model B" strap attatchments, which fit Pentax 6x7, Hassy and others. $27.00 plus shipping very well spent. It seemed to make more sense than paying even more for the not-as-comfortable Genuine Pentax strap from KEH or eBay.

Yeah I gave up long ago, it was causing me gas trying to figure if there was any pattern or logic to them.

Two 'BIG LENSES' ---
My Russian MTO 500mm Mirror lens on a Zenith 'E' -- I bought it for 69-00 in the 1960's -- I used it for Cricket photos for a local newspaper -- it came in the wooden box with various filters and a Russian 39mm 'Leica Screw' and also a 42mm ' Pentax Screw' adapter .

My TOKINA 300mm f2.8 on a Canon FTBn body as Tokina did not make it with PENTAX fit -- I used it for Soccer action especially on dull winter days but all that work has GONE now so do not use it so much.

Ha good one!

Unfortunately it's the "normal" gas.
