LOL, you wish, guys. I'm afraid they breed not autonomously but in somewhat the way toxoplasma protozoa do ... by causing subliminal changes in the behavior of the host such that the host advances the parasite's life cycle and increases its numbers. Mice (or crazy cat ladies) with toxoplasmosis become irresistibly drawn to hang around cats and thereby spread the protozoan to more cats; crazy lens men with toxorokkorosis are inexorably drawn to go buy more classic Minolta glass.

I did not know that Minolta was in Apicomplexa.

Mirror twins?

So I am iced-in with this storm and was reflecting on some of my gear and it occurred to me that the KX & XK - or XK & KX are a mirror of each other in either order. So I was figuring out how to show this reflection and when I set this up it struck me that also reflected on the mirror that KX & XK they are still the same! What a cool coincidence . . .

Encounter any other models that are that way?

Anyone ever seen a case like the one on this auction? (Standard disclaimer applies -- I have no relation to or interest shared with the seller.) I have never seen anything like this and wondered if it might be homemade...but where would one get such fabric? It also looks more like the modern Pentax logo than the 1960s one. Anyway it seems a bit garish for me, so I'll pass, but if anyone is a very enthusiastic Pentax enthusiast, this could be the accessory for you. I love how the auction has a field "Maker/Markings" for when they're auctioning silver or china etc., and they've calmly populated that field "Pentax." Ya think?!

Oddly enough, I got a S1a from a family member, and it came with a strap in that exact same pattern! I may have to snap up that SP500 and pass the camera along just so I have the matching case

Last of the KW Prakticas, about 15000 made. These are very well built, industrial like.

Impressive.

How do you usually clean them? I tend to err on the side of caution and either not clean, or give them a wipe down.
Sorry for my late respons....
I clean my camera's with alcohol form the drugstore. And I use wooden toothpicks (wit a piece of cloth arround the tip) to reach the tiny spots onder the knobs etc
When the camera is extreme diry sometimes I've to use benzene

"Bronica" problem ?! Go see a med doctor and if that fails, a head doctor ... oh, wait ... it's not you; maybe have them neutered

No, really, that's cool ... you, too, need to share your secret on how to get these things to multiply/breed ... J

I love the medium format, but I have enough trouble dealing with 35mm. Anyway, I have lately been quite taken with the early Prakticas (1945-65) as they are very well made even if "primitive". That they have lasted in working condition for 60 years is testement to that. This model is the last before they put a fixed prism viewfinder on in 1959. From Dresden, where they were made. All up $150
