Good luck!

Feel free to post some pictures of your Minolta gear, too...
I prefer to use one of my Minoltas (XE-1 & XD-7) myself when I want to play with one of my larger M42 lenses.
They tend to be more voluptuous than the tiny pentaxes.

A little more of that Large Format Goodness. This is from Sunday, when I took 8 pictures (!) with my 8x10 Korona.

No doubt that depends on which Pentax body you have as the Pentax M42 bodies were substantial - ES II @ 930g - XE-1/XE-7 @ 775g - KX @ 631g

It also depends on which Minolta body you have. My SRT 101 and 102 are mucho more substantial than my contemporary Spotmatic II and KX.

As per request, here's what's left of my Minolta gear ... traded off all the big glass awhile ago ... and unfortunately the XG-1(n) is probably now "dead" ...the mint SRT 100X with the MD 45/2 was another thrift store acquisition !

EDIT : Forgot again ... two Sigma lens from the thrift store, so updated photo for my documentation, J

The forgotten Zenit Olympian ...

I missed one, so here it is ... 1980 Moscow Olympic badge on prism ... plus a "Made in USSR" M42 bellows ... I have no idea what brand it is ... J

Edit : the bellows is a Vorsatz (Helios) macro extender (etc.) ... found via a Google search ...

Boris has the Minolta XE-1 & XD-7. Looking at the specs for the SRT 101 & 102, they are even smaller and lighter (@705g & 710g) than the XE-1/XE-7. I also have the XK - which seems to be the heaviest at 895g with the finder, and it's still less than the ES II.

Correction, the ES II body only 678g without lens as opposed to 930g with 50mm lens. So the SRT101/102 and the XE-1/XE-7 all outweigh it.

"Heeeeere's Johnny !" J Nicholson, The Shining

Yes, I am smashing through the door again with more p0rn ... this time Adaptall-2 inventory and documentation ...

Back row = 19AH (w/hood), 23A and 103A (w/hood, cap & case)

Middle = 01F, 52BB, 151B (w/cap), 02B (w/case)

Front = PK/M, PK/A and another PK/A

Back row = 40A, 22A, 20AB (fungus, cannot get it open to clean despite a few tries) and CT135 (?, broken Ap, FD mount)

Middle = PK/M, 44A, 27A and 58A (w/hood)

Front adapters - 2 Nikon, 1 FD, 1 M/MD, 1 PL, 1 OL and somewhere lost in the house is a C/Y ... thanks for letting me show off, J (like you had a choice!)

NB : There's a lot of FL overlap and duplication here, because most of these AD2's were acquired at swap meets for very little (ie, the 40A & 44A) or at my local thrift store (ie, the 27A for 3€ and the 52B for 2€ !) ... and usually with an adapter was attached ... that's why I have such a variety ...

Salut
, Johnny le Frog

Excellent collection! I have a few adaptalls, and even several K-A adapters (one actually flew apart while mounted on a camera, I haven't yet figured out how to put it back together), and a ES M42 so's I can auto exposue with my ES-II. These are really nice lenses, most of them, the 01bb is a current love of mine. I've had a SP 35-80 2.8-3.8 CF (01a) since new around '84, and for nearly 2 decades it was the only lens I'd use.

Thanks Nesster!

I really would like to get my hands on a 01A, and a 01B, too, but I need to clear up and clear out some of my overgrown collection ... a little here and a little bit there. It's kind of gotten out of hand in a certain sense and correct storage space is becoming problamatic ... thus the reason for the inventory and doc ... oh, the woes of LBA, ... Salut, J
