@Tuco, I have been playing with Lens Turbo focal reducer that does the offset of the 1.5 crop fact on APS-C sensor. LT have adapters for NEX and Fuji. Here is how it looks on the NEX with Super-Tak 35mm f/3.5 (a lovely lens). The beauty in the LT or the better (more expensive) one in Speedbooster lies in the gain of 1 stop of light and 0.72*1.5 final crop factor on the APS-C, essentially get you close to the FF FOV.

Not a great picture to show, I have your SuperTak 28mm f.3.5, the best part with the LT is gaining back the 28mm * 1.5 * 0.72 ~ 30.24mm FOV in FF and gain of one stop

shot wide open with NEX 5N in f/3.5 with Lens Turbo

@Nester, thank you for your kind words.

@Jean, we share similar traits with LBA non-stop on Super/SMC Takumar and Tamron adaptall-2.

Cheers,
Hin
Another Lens Turbo owner.

I'm convinced that the Lens Turbo/NEX is the ONLY way to shoot M42 and Pentax K manual glass on a digital.

Nice Unix! 4x5, or 5x7?

Looks like it could also double as an accordion.

Sweet. The brass looks in good shape. The brass, after years, is tarnishing on my Wisner 4x5 TF. I guess I could try and polish it up.

All that red and brass using a huge piece of film has got to sweet!

She's a 4x5. She's actually my fifth 4x5, of which I still own four but plan to only own three or two very soon. My Toyo monorail sees almost no use due to it being heavier than my 8x10.

She's in fine shape. My understanding is that the Toko is a relatively new camera, and so maybe the brass just hasn't had a chance to go off yet.

It's a work of art that makes art. I've been into photography for nearly five years now...and I've found in my quick escalation up the chain that:

1. 35mm is very convenient, Digital 35mm/APS more so

2. Medium Format is in a nebulous too-big-to-be-convenient, too-small-to-be-serious area for me (A Hasselblad or a Pentax 67 may change this notion. I have a few Medium Format cameras but only one system camera (Pentax 645), and only two lenses for it.)

3. 4x5 is where it's at. My passion is here. And 4x5 still has enough emulsions and variety available to really be a valid place to be in the film hobby now.

4. 8x10 is awesome, but too heavy and expensive to be as useful as a 4x5 to me.

@unixrevolution, congratulation on your toy.

I shot this years ago with a K100D while visiting the gallery of Rodney Lough Jr.
in San Francisco Fisherman Wharf area. My blog post in Ultimate Film Camera showed my enthusiasm on those boxy and big camera.

Cheers,
Hin

Family reunion

I've had the Vivitar Series 1 135mm F/2.3 for some time, it's larger sibling just arrived in the mail:
I really have to get an EE-S screen soon...

Wenol.

I use it on my ring, all the polished aluminum on my race car, and everything that has brass or copper. It works great, and it is easy to get excellent results.

I just picked up my first large format camera, a Cambo SC 4x5. I had always wanted to get into that area of photography, but just never found the time and money.

The Cambo was relatively cheap, $350 along with a bunch of extras, darkroom gear to develop and contact print photos, and a notebook the former owner had put together that has sample negatives and charts he made as standards for each type of film. Lots of work to help save more work and wasted film later on.

I also picked up a 4x5 Beseler enlarger the same day for $50.

A few days later I found a decent tripod for $100.

Now to build the darkroom in the basement . . . . . . .

Hin, did you check out all the big logs and log furniture in that gallery?
My company SwiftSure Timberworks did all that log work.
