Zeiss Ikon Nettar 517/2 - 6x9

I posted some photos taken with this camera in https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-medium-format-645-6x7-645d/87027-p...ml#post2513632, so I thought I would show the camera here:

No distance meter and no exposure meter plus a not very exact viewfinder makes this camera a challenge, but it takes pretty good pictures when you take care. With only 8 6x9 cm images to a roll (120 film) it is necessary to take care in order not to waste film.
This camera is the same age as me - produced around 1955.

These images were taken with the K-5 and the smc Pentax-A 28-80/3.5~4.5

Nice condition. f6.3 and yet you hear complaints that f2.4 is too slow!! I have a Franka Rolfix with a "super fast" f4.5 Schneider lens from 1953.

LaHo, Nice Nettar,
I have the 1936 model with a Nettar Anastigmat 1:6.3 f = 10,5 cm
It has the frame viewfinder also the little prism vf on the lens
A lot of the construction appears generic with your 1950's model but the lens is quite different

You can probably use the prism viewfinder on the lens as a waist-lever finder. My camera has no such thing.
The lens itself is probably the same.

My camera is in very good shape. The only reason I bought it was the Zeiss name and a very tempting price tag.
I would really like to have the Ikonta version with a faster lens, but this camera mostly for fun. The large negative is very nice, though.

That looks like a wonderful camera fair... sadly, our local camera show, while fairly regular 4 or so times per year, is getting smaller and prohibits photography.

This was my father's Franka Solida (circa 1949) and must have been a speed demon for its day, with a Schneider-Kreuznach Radionar 75mm 1:2.9 and unusual for a Franka with
a Compur- Rapid shutter.

A smorgasboard!

I don't live far from KEH and I don't know if it's better that they don't have a counter or not . . .

A camera fair that prohibits photography seems more than just a tiny little bit absurd.

Thanks all for the "likes" for my Poitiers p0rn festival photos ... I am going to another show that I have never visited before at the end of November. It's just north of Tours, about an hour drive for me. I will take some snaps there if allowed. Also, I am probably going to the Paris Photo Expo (Salon de la Photo) at the beginning of that month ...

Here's another snap that I think that I missed ... J

Part of today's thrift store scores ... very happy about the mint Minolta bellows (MD) that I came across ... and also got a Zeiss Ikotron S2 flash with case. I have no idea if it works ... does anyone here want it? I have no need for it ... J
