A nice 7€ thrift store score for me ... a black TLT in good shape, but meter is probably "KO" despite my cleaning of the battery compartment ... there may be more corrosion under the base plate, etc. ... a rainy day project, among many others ... oh well, still can shoot it without a meter ... I bought it really for the T2,8/50 aus JENA DDR, which is in very good shape ... plus a nice clean & shiny ever-ready case !

I just re-leathered my 6x7 with grey griptac from Cameraleather.com, after finding it so pleasant on my LX's. I got the three of them together for a little session

Unfortunately the TTL prism's leather patches are different than the unmetered prism's patches, so griptac for that will have to wait a while longer.

Merci! I'm very pleased with this little collection. Pentax's high-end, interchangeable-finder SLRs all together.

Nice the grey leather works well on those bodies.

That looks great! I am thinking of trying it on one my LXs, anything special to it?

I've liked this grey/black combo since I put it on my first LX.

The LX coverings are straightforward..I've done two now so I would know

The winder is easy if you have a winder, it's just a peel, clean and stick.

The LX itself can be harder. First, the covering actually sticks down a plate on the right-hand side below the shutter release. That will come up with the old cover, make sure you keep it. Second, to get around the self-timer lever, I reccomend getting smoe PLAIN (no aloe, no moisturizers, no scents, nothing) hand sanitizing gel. The Gel will keep the leather from sticking while you work it into place, and will evaporate afterwards. Use that to get the leatherette around the self-timer lever, so you don't have to take the lever off or curse your camera, the leather, and everyone who ever lived while trying to get it on straight. You only really need the sanitizer on the inboard part of the front leather...you can apply the other end dry. I think you can probably apply the leather on the back and the left-hand side dry as well.

I've covered 2 K1000s, an MG, an ME Super, a Leica M2, Two LX's, and the 6x7. I'm pretty good at it by now I would have covered my Voigtlander Bessa but it's already wearing Black griptac

Bugger that:
That is a gorgeous K-3 and silver LTD zoom! But why the hostility to my poor 6x7? He can't help it he's old.

Also, isn't a silver and black K-3 kind of retro chic itself?

Totally. That was the point of my post. And absolutely no antipathy to the 6x7: only envy.

It is a Film SLR section, so it's not really surprising

I never actually noticed that rather important detail.
