Relieving a bit of CBA guilt?
Myself, I just bought a new-like Pentax Z-20, the type of plastic automation I try to stay away from. However, it came with a mint Sigma Auto focus 24mm f2.8 and a camera bag, for $55.
Also picked a view finder for the Q. I will never warm to no viewfinder cameras. This was$ 64

They're becoming scarcer. You can hardly find an auxiliary lens set that still has the finder in it anymore.

To change the subject: Here's my first Leica, purchased at our biennial Orlando-area swap meet a couple of weeks ago. It's still in the process of being cleaned, but I had to show it off. It's a IIIa (model G) from 1936.

I could not find one for less, and plenty for more.

How different from plastic, a joy to behold.

Very nice! According to serial number I have a 1935 IIIa, except that it was factory converted to a IIIf in the 1950s. That's confusing, because the IIIf body shares few parts with the IIIa, so it shows the factory upgraded by putting the old serial number on a new body. (Got around import taxes as it was a repair!)

The Summar is an interesting lens, but hard to find one without a lot of degeneration in the optics. I'm still looking for a good one, but have a 1939 Summitar f2.0 that replaced the Summar. No coatings, so lots of flare. I also have a Summitar from 1948 - after they started coating lenses, and it is still an excellent lens.

I guess I should unload mine. I have at least three of the stupid things.

Those were my thoughts. They have gotten fairly rare of late, but I had no idea they had gotten expensive!

Yes, this one is very cloudy internally, although the front surface doesn't seem to be too badly scratched. I'm on the first roll of B&W with it, to see how foggy its results will be. If they're too bad I've got a couple of Soviet lenses I can use until I can replace the Summar.

Here is my K10D shown with an M42 35mm f2 Super-Takumar I picked up years ago with a 1960's SV and 150mm f4 Super-takumar and extension tubes all for £ 25-00 !! I use it with the Screw-Bayonet Adapter I got in 1980 when I bought my 'K' fit Pentaxes . it is very sharp even at full aperture unlike a later version I bought in the 1980's with the 49mm filter mount which was a real DOG of a lens -- needed stopping down to at least f11 to get sharp coverage. ( I sold that lens cheaply !)

That's a lot of fungus... hard to know if it's etched the glass at all.

Even if the lenses are cleanable--and not etched by the fungus--I'd be worried about the condition of the built-in filters. If they have fungus they might be very difficult or impossible to clean.

For 50 Euro?... why don't you offer him $35 with S&H? You can tell him that it is pretty noticeable that there's a lot of fungus and that if it has started eating the glass, it would be hell of an expensive paperweight... however, if you check it out, it seems that it is just some sort of dirty goo or milk or I don't know and you can tell that it is on the outside of the front objective, look at the 1:4/17 you can see it is covering the front glass...

I would risk even 40 Euro
