This is a super cool tripod! Very old, and silky smooth, surprisingly strong for its diminutive size.
Folded size is 10.75" long, (less than one foot!) Fully extended it is 52.5"!
Very cute!

With my Pentax P30t supported!

Center column gear control, with tension knob behind.

Fully extended to almost 4 1/2 foot. The legs just pull out and are locked by fairly stout spring tension knobs, to collapse the legs, just use force to overcome the spring knobs and it collapses down with silky smooth clicks!

Pan/tilt head w/1/4" mount screw Spring tension on mount (very easy to attach camera!)
The pan tilt control snugs up the head in both ways at once. Loosen to pan/tilt, then tighten to set. Only ONE control for both functions. I do not see any function to set up for portrait view. Oh wait, DUH, LOL, yep Portrait view is dead simple!

Head and legs collapsed, with legs angled for tapletop use!

Very slick and useful tripod for travel, easy to deploy and simple to use!

In the leather travel case, in a package less than a foot long, this is amazing!

Yeah, the door is broken on mine as well - has been since I picked it up but that's what made it so cheap. My fix is none to elegant - gaff tape to the rescue as usual.

ouch, on mine the tab on the winder broke off as well as the screw that closes the door. I am firly certain I could use JB weld to rebuild the tab, but that broken screw flummoxes me.

I have an old travel tripod just like that--I've never seen another like it until now. The brand name engraved on mine is "Kinegon" but it looks identical. I picked it up second hand in Atlanta, probably 30 years ago. It is amazingly solid. And smooth.

Sounds corny, but they really "don't make 'em like that anymore!"

Yop... my tab is still in place but the screw has always been gone. Considered briefly how I might fix it, then considered it no more and just grabbed the gaff. I don't consider the winder particularly beautiful anyhow, much more about function, and it certainly doesn't have the same build quality as the MX itself, so such is life.

- a Pentax Zoom 60 Marco AF with case (2 €)

My first serious camera was a Pentax zoom105-R that looks very similar to that 90WR. Serious because that was a move up from the Kodak 110 camera I had before that . . .

I bought one just like this on the forum for $50, except mine has satin chrome legs instead of black. Between my Zipshot and my big Manfrotto I don't use it much, but it's so damn pretty!

Man, every time I see one of those 40/2.8 pancakes I want to get one and stick it on an M_ camera for a pocketable shooter. (I have only the ME Super SE so far.) I should just go buy-it-now one of them since they're pretty affordable lenses; scouring auctions carefully and waiting patiently for months will probably save me $8 or something like that, which I could more quickly save by foregoing a few coffees.
