Sweet! Over here they don't allow photography at the camera shows... I don't know, maybe for tax reasons...
Yeah, it was nice and fun. Most everyone was pretty cool and laid back. And it was a very international swap: lots of Germans/Belgians/Dutch, many Eastern Europeans, some Russians and a few Brits. Lots of "high end" Leica & Hassy stuff, tons of medium/large format and "Pro" equipment to be had ... a bit of everything; even "Impossible" film had a stand ... I was like a kid in a huge outdoor candy store !!!

Only one vendor growled at me (pretty harshly in front of a crowd - pissed me off) ... So I "barked back" even stronger, using some choice French, English, German phrases/words and some international sign language. He backed down quickly and I think he was an Italian ... nor he did not want to come around from behind his caged stand to discuss the issue further. Do not know why he made such fuss since he was not anywhere near in the angle of my snap ... was not like I was shooting with a fish-eye; whatever.

What a huge choice. I'd be like a kid in a candy store.

Yep ... think so. There were tons of them about ... wish that I had taken a snap of a Russian/Ukranian stand. Stuff in stands, in boxes/crates on the ground and on a grassy incline, individual sellers would lay out a tarp and spread their gear upon it. A real shmorgishborg!

Among other many things, I was was looking for a (dead) Werra 3 or 4 (for the mount, for a Franken-lens project), but only found the first versions. Also was hunting a Yashica 635 with kit. Missed two at a stand by an hour or so ... was asking about with the appropriate vendors. No luck elsewhere ... ... maybe another day.

Well ... it sold again at British Heart Foundation. Still broken and this time for only £980.00 ... wonder if this purchaser will pay up?

Here's my newly acquired, nearly pristine Spotmatic SP. First roll loaded was Ilford PanF.

Kodak Medalist & Medalist II

This is my friend Bob's 1944 Kodak Medalist, next to my 1947 Kodak Medalist II.
Both are fully functional, and I should have scans later today from the test roll I ran through Bob's Medalist.
