Wow, great deal! Have you tested the Flash x-sync port/flash shoe? I've found that on 3 of the past 4 MX bodies I bought, the entire circuit was broken, not just the connectors to the shoe. I've seen a lot of complaints about the meter going, but in my own experience, the flash problem is much more common but maybe isn't as noticed because people aren't necessarily using a flash with their camera.
Salut dc .. Nope I have not gotten that far and thanks for your heads up.

I just put new batteries in it and the meter looks OK and the inside of the MX is very good. I would say that the seals have been replaced before because they look almost new despite the exterior. This MX has been around the block a few times.

I should test the shoe ASAP, because there's a swap on Feb. 1st and I will try to trade this one away for some other Pentax gear (or other, better etc. ...). I am not going to keep this one because I already have a very, very nice MX that I sent to Eric a way back.

Time to fill the trunk again and go swappin' again J

Hi, if there's any french guy around here, there's a wonderfull set of pentax K lenses on a french well known sell/buy website (including K 50mm f1.2, K 28mm f2, K 135mm f2.5, they all seem in very good state). I phoned the seller, so many people phoned her it went from 150 euros to 450 euros in an hour. To my knowledge it's still selling at this price though I think it's worth much more. My heart started beating when I saw the price at 150. But as a student, I don't have that kind of money and i'm out of the game so, here's the link : Pentax asahi k2 Image & Son Haute-Garonne - leboncoin.fr

(By the way, I allowed myself to post this since I think it's a one-time-a-year offer type and it is obviously some wonderfull Pentax gear even if I am not posting the photos myself.)

@ Jean Poitiers : Seems like the offer has been closed, yes. A shame I didn't save the pictures ... I sent you the phone number and email adress of the seller if you are really interested. Anyone : feel free to send me a PM to ask the same, maybe it's not too late. Obviously I won't disclose the contact information publicly here.

Merci bien ! Thanks for the "heads up", but the announcement has been dis-activated ... too bad. I did not even see it while it was "alive" ... Salut, J

I went to the photo club swap at Aulnay (France) this morning and picked up a few Pentax things quite cheap ... a working nice ME with a M 50/1.4 was 10€, but the lens has "cleanable" fungus issues. The working SP 500 with S/Tak 55:2 was 10€ also ... with the 5€ flash shoe thrown in as a freebie.

The LX stickers and 3 manuals (in English, go figure ?!) were 3€ total. All from the same seller.

Picked up a lot of other goodies, too. Happy camper overall. Worth the 2.5 hour round trip. (xpost)

Please tell me you use that beautiful 600 on a 6x7, rather than wasting its capability by shooting it with 35mm exclusively.

Yes for sure! I have a K500/4.5 and K1000/8 for my 35mm cameras, so no need to use different format lenses.
This guy will only be used on my 6x7, 67 & 67II bodies. Just have to wait for the rain to stop before I get to try it out.

Yes it's heavy at 6kg, so a big tripod is in order.

Nice score!

There was supposed to have been a camera swap meet in my local but it was cancelled due to weather as it was outdoors. Your small club swap looks much larger than ours!

Before they go back in their respective cases and bags, here is my family of "Heavy Metal" Pentax's before they went all plasticy. The only one missing is my LX which is getting a service at the moment.
Again moving from left to right, (back row) is... Sa1, SV with Asahi light meter, Spotmatic, SP1000 in brown snakeskin, (middle row) two Spotmatic F's, KX, K1000 SE in brown, (front row) ME super, ME super in black, ME-F with Auto Focus lens and lastly the ME.
