Direbear - LOVE that K1000 of yours. The covering on it is cool, I think you said before on another post that this is the way you received it - is it a standard covering?

The K1000 I had, had two quirks that I wasn't keen on. One being the lack of split-focus and no way of changing this. Trying to get critical focus at 1.4 would be "fun" without it. And the other annoyance was that it was too easy to change the ISO setting when adjusting the shutter speed. The MX resolves both these issues.

Nild - this MX is a tiny solid metal block of all that is sexy. I love it. Somebody recommended I should look into getting one, really glad I did. Mine is not perfect, needs a replacement focus screen as this one has scratches, and apparently the hotshoe/x-sync is a bit hit-and-miss but I won't use those much if at all anyway so not worried about that.

Dear me that MZ-S is a beast

A FSU curio, KMZ Krystall. Successor to the Zenit 3, it was only in production for a year because the art deco design and enamel finish proved unpopular. Personally I love it. It's based on the Zorki 6, and comes with the M39 Industar-50 lens.

Anti-p0rn?

To me, this Kodak Brownie Starmite, is anti-p0rn. It was the first of some three Starmites that came out between 1960 and 1963, the last Starmite was produced in 1967. It took 127 film. And it even offered an adjustment for flash, EV14, and daylight EV13.

I love the look of those crazy old cameras. I think my favorite is the Ansco Cadet Flash. This one is pretty close. Too bad about 127 film.

I bought this yesterday. Found it for sale in a charity shop. Needs some TLC but a nice little project.

Interesting and fine collection there. The Pentaflex FX has a lot of similarity to the Ashiflex

Thanks! This is the oldest camera I own. I think its from 1918. Its missing paint but works. It will fit in a shirt pocket when folded. It takes a film that is almost medium format.

That top pic reminded me of how beautiful they looked before they did the addon meters or flash shoes. I'm glad they provided a viewfinder for the LX without the hotshoe.

Thanks, enjoying it at the moment, its much smaller than it looks in almost every photo I see of it!
Congratulations on the MZ-S. The new Pentax FF is supposed to have similar dimensions (except thickness) and that would be a good thing.
