I just finished to shoot a roll of Portra 400 with this Z6, I'm looking forward to seeing the results, I find it a very nice camera to use, it's small, simple, has a hinged door, nice viewfinder, large base rangefinder, in short a sort of Contax/Leica hybrid with modern features.
That's what's mainly kept me away from the older Zorkis: I just can't deal with the bottom-loading. I keep thinking of trying to find me a decently-priced Z3 in good condition one of these days.

Haha but yours is more sophisticated and cultured! I don't use my pentax 40 much because I have the Voigtlander 40 but whenever I feel the urge to sell it, I end up using it where it's perfect. (Or I'm just trying to justify keeping it. One of those)

Perhaps I wasn't clear: the Z5 is the only one that is bottom loaded, the Z6 has a normal hinged door and the Z3 and 4 (including the 4K) have the detachable back like a Contax. The Fed 2 too.

Nah, I followed. Was more just a commentary on Zorkis in general.

Yes, we both love Pentax maybe! I used Pentax camera from K100 to K3 then feel no any regret to sold out all digital but keep film camera for myself. ^^

Recently picked up a mess of filters for my Zeiss Ikon Contessa - Red, Yellow, Orange, and Green, pondering getting blue just to, you know, have them all. Also picked up the four-proxar set -- 1m, 0.5m, 0.3m, 0.2m. I will eventually get the contopol circular polarizer.

I keep buying different leather cases for the filters, but finally ordered one that has five slots in it, I guess I'll put the other back up on eBay, haha.

No, not bad at all. It is a good thing you came across it first, because if I saw it, I would have snatched it up

Yashica 35 1958.

This is the first 35mm Yashica from the Yashica factory. A predecessor to the Lynx, It came with a 1.9 or 45mm 2.8 lens. more solid than later models. Has a rangefinder, but no meter. Copal MXV shutter. I much prefer this manual version to the later automated electro series 35.
That's a hell of a camera, I am jealous.

My Latest, 80s goodness.

Pentax Super-A European Camera of the year version.
With the original Pentax-A 50mm F1.4 (you can still see the shadow on the cap where it used to have the "european camera of the year 1983" sticker.

Seems in great condition, the only fault I can see is the film counter doesnt reset, but that's nothing.

Great gift from my parents for my birthday a few months ago.

I just picked up an ME from a fair. I was after the lens, M50/1.7 so $35 for ME, lens and new pouch had me buying it. The lens is near mint, and so was the camera I thought, until I noticed the speed selector had lost it's lock button. Thus, no detents between Auto , M and B. Other than that, it works just fine, and is the first ME I have owned. Still, it was the lens I was after, and the camera was icing on the cake.

To be honest, it might actually be an improvement, the ME lock button is too tiny and fiddly in my opinion (it's not bad to use, but I think without it it would have been better)

Have you checked to see if old foam is jamming the aperture pin that resets when the door is opened?

Yep, no foam around entrance, and it looks clean inside there (from what I can see anyway)

I suspect maybe the counter has been maybe wound too far past 36 and it's skipped a tooth or something?

Not really sure, never actually had the counter apart on a camera with one.
