Here's a quick end-of-the-day shot of all the gear I was carrying around yesterday, spread out after unpacking it. The total weight of photographic gear was 9kg and I had to pack very well to get it all into my Lowepro backpack.

The nine kilos of gear I carried around yesterday. I used virtually everything though. by Jonathan MacDonald, on Flickr

Pentax K3 with grip, 645 with 75/2.8, MZ-5N (with Fuji Velvia 50), SFXn (Kodak T-Max 100 & Ilford FP4+), 645 55/2.8, 645 extension tube 2, M 75-150/4, M 35/2, M 50/1.4, Sigma 24/2.8 (AF version), DA 70/2.4 limited, DA 15/4 limited, 13mm extension tube, various accessories.

It's funny that most of the gear porn shown in this thread is of old analog gear. But hey, I also like old analog gear:

Three Zeiss folders:

Two of my older Pentax 6x7s:

The Mamiya C330 Professional with the Mamiya-Sekor 135mm F4.5 lens (black version with Seiko shutter):

And a Jobo tank used to develop two rolls of 35 mm film (on two spools) or two rolls of 120 film (on one spool) in the Jobo ATL-1500 film processor:

All the above images taken with the Pentax Spotmatic F and Super-Takumar 85mm F1.9

and below

An old Zenit-B - taken with the Pentax 67 II and the 165mm F4.0 LS lens:

All the above gear is used frequently ...

Thanks. Well, it's true that this is a thread in the forum section for film, but there should still be some leeway, I think. What I especially like about film gear, though, is the great variety: folders, TLRs, rangefinders, box cameras and so on in addition to regular SLRs.

I am a true Pentax fan at heart and have some of the old Spotmatics with a bunch of Takumars, some K-mount SLRs from the 70'ies, 80'ies and 90'ies with a fair collection of K-, M- and A-series lenses to go, a good collection of 6x7 gear and 645N and N II with the appropriate A and FA lenses. However, I have a weak spot for the Mamiya C330 - the square negative, the waist-level viewfinder and bellows focusing. All great fun.

I going to take this one out for spin. The only Canon SLR gear that I am going to keep with with a couple of lenses. I sold the F-1 and some other bodies. (The Canonets are also going to see some film action.)

Quick (silly) question here. I picked up a Canon BT-55 hood at a swap for 1€ for the 50/1.4, but it should have been a BS-55 hood according to Web site. The BT-55 is for a 100mm or 135mm apparently. If I use this hood on the 50/1.4, do you think that it will vignette "too" much? I see no real difference through the OVF ... maybe a few shots of this hood "on" and a few "off" for funnies ... wadda ya think ?!

I don't really think so. This entire site is comprised almost exclusively of digital photographic photos and subjects, save for this little film corner. I don't think it's unreasonable to keep the "digital gear p0rn" to the countless other thread topics.

Just checked, and it looks like my FD 50/1.8 has a BT-55 paired with it. I rarely use the lens as I'm not much of a fan of it, but the few photos I've taken with it and posted suggest that there's probably nothing to worry too much about.
