The issue seems to be resolved. The camera is on its way. I had asked whether the camera is black but it is silver and I knew it. Looks beautiful.
I found it on ebay and yes, it looks very clean. Nice copy.

Glad you got it solved.

Latest "collection" acquisitions ...

Remember that boxed black Spottie that I recently acquired? Well, the seller emailed me to say that he was selling off his Pentax collection, so I grabbed the four below after he sent me a few images. There were a few more SLR's, but I did not want to be greedy ...

- the ESII is the "worse cosmetically", but OK. No meter ... the SMC Tak 50/1.4 attached is excellent,
- the K2 is unmarked and looks like it has never been used and same for the K 50/1.4 ... the mirror bumper looks brand new,
- the black MX is very nice and seen some action due some minor brassing on the bottom and the M 50/2 is excellent,
- the black ME Super is unmarked and like new as well, even with the protection film on the bottom, but the K 55/1.8 has front element fungus (oh, well) ... the bumper looks new here, too.

All for 225€ total including registered postage. Not bad ... not bad.

A few more maybe for Eric soon, once I eliminate some non-Pentax gear to raise some cash ...

Nice catch! Congratulations

Funny name. Is it the shutter sound that's given it it's name? :-)

I actually do not know, but I hardly think it is the shutter as it is a fairly quiet design, similar in design to the shutter assembly found in most box cameras.

It had a sibling in the Click model

Thus Agfa had a.click clack line of simple consumer cameras offering a 6x6 or 6x9 format option.
The early ones (like the one in the picture) had all metal bodies where as the newer once were made from plastic.

here is a picture of a newer plastic version of the click:

No, no,no. That does not look right. Silver lens on black body. No.

Listen, send me that awful looking silver AF thing and I will replace it for free with a manual K 55/1.8 that I just acquired.

Black on black. There. Fixed that.

A friend of mine has a black KM which works fine but looks beaten to hell with lots of brass showing. I love it. K.

Of course, the original Leica and Contax cameras (1920s - early 30s) all had black bodies and silver (nickel) lenses. Classic look!
On the other hand, my cameras of the 1960s had Chrome trim bodies and black lenses - also classic.

self portrait

Hi

Here is my K-3 showing off with a Asahi-Kogaku Takumar 50mm f3.5 (version 3), taking a self portrait. It looks good and really tiny. A bit difficult to use since the pre-set mechanism ends up upside down when mounting it on the camera. And the lens is so tiny that it doesn't cover the two small slots on the m42->K adapter, there is a big chance for light leaking into the mirror box. This can be seen on the last image.

The last image show my K-3 joined by a Asahiflex Ia with a Asahi-Kogaku Takumar 100mm f3,5 and the Asahiflex lens hood. The oldes camera was produced sometime between May 1953 and September 1954, and the K-3 is from after October 2013, the gun-metal version introduced in 2014 (?).

The very reason why I like Pentax's, almost all their lenses are still usable on their modern dslrs

Exacta had one of the oddest arrangement of controls and unusual features (such as a film-cutting knife). Also, a body shape that is almost the antithesis of modern DSLR's with their big, secure, hand/finger contoured right-side grips.

And BTW: Several times when I was carrying my Asahi Pentax S back in the 50's, someone would ask why I hadn't purchased a "good German camera like an Exacta."
