I am a very happy camper - I picked up this beautiful A35/2 lens for just £75 this weekend in a secondhand shop.
Lucky find. That's barely more than I paid for my M version.

(It's the 2-1/4 x 3-1/4 model, so I won't be shooting any sheet film with it, but it also has the 6x9 roll film holder.)
Nice camera. When I was a teenager, my photography mentor had one. Sheet film to fit is still available and cameras for that format are still being made.

Huh. Didn't know there was still sheet film for it. The local shops only carry 4x5.

I'll have to keep an eye out for a 2x3 Graflok holder then.

Broke down last week and ordered a 67 non-metered prism and SMC Takumar 105/2.4 in an attempt to simplify my 67 shooting. Intend to make it my main camera for July. It's funny because when I first was looking to get into the P67 well over a year ago, this is precisely the setup I intended, however a too-good-to-pass-up local deal came up in my local listings and the seller (who was the owner's father who'd passed away the year prior) drove an hour to me to allow me look everything over carefully so I wound up with WAY more kit than I intended and in some respects it's made me use it less. Simple is good.

Today I am trying a lens I just restored.
I rarely use a dark cloth.
But I needed one for a close up so I got out the 2012 black PentaxForums Tee shirt.

Always nice to see another LF shooter! That's a lovely speeder! Must be a short lens, too.

It is a Graflex "PhotoRecord" f/5 84 mm, and so it sits on the fixed rails.
I think it is going to work well from some test photos I already did on the RH-8 6x9 rollfilm back.
Regards !

The new (old) glass and finder have given the 67 a distinctly 6x7 look...
now the makeover is complete with wooden grip by Mr Mark Kasper.
She's a born anew.

I just received two 50mm f1.4, one very rare and another very common:

The first one is the Carl Zeiss Jena Prakticar 50mm f1.4, a marvelous piece of glass:

I've never seen a lens with such curved elements, they are so spherical because the designers tried to "compress" the large Pancolar 55mm f1.4 in a tiny package:

Supposedly, it also has a thoriated element like a SMC Takumar, but this one is not to yellow...unfortunately the high price caused the demise of this lens along with many other CZJ lenses for the Praktica B model that were designed for professional use, but the pros of the era didn't take Prakticas seriously and beginners couldn't afford the price something in the league of the Carl Zeiss West Germany for Contax.

The second one is a Rikenon 50mm f1.4 XR, also very beautiful lens, definitely bigger and more conventional in its design:

At the moment it's on my LX but I am expecting a XR2S...I'm curious to see how it compares with my Pentax 1.4s.
