Next to my 67 it looks big, but it's actually quite compact for a 4x5 camera.

I am willing to bet the 4x5 is actually lighter, too. The lenses are much smaller, and the camera is mostly air. My Super Graphic was lighter than my 6x7 by just a bit. My current 4x5 wood field is lighter by a lot! Awesome setup!

That is a gorgeous Bronica outfit. Have you shot with it yet?

I'll have the first roll finished today. I cant get the 135mm to stop down and the cameras flacking some foam from some where, but at the price I got everything for I have no complaints.

I'm sure the 4X5 actually weighs less than the 6X7, but there's also a psychological phenomenon at work. A small object that weighs the same as a much larger one "seems" to weigh more, that is, psychologically, the density of an object influences how we react to the weight.

The Speed Graphic 4x5 and the RB67 with the chimney each weigh about 2 kg (4 pound)
The prism for the RB weighs about 0.5 kg alone.

The Graflex 2x3 Baby (left) is the lightest at about 1.5 kg

I can't take sharp photos close in with the Graflex like I can with the RB67 slr - for family photos or close in like this photo:
https://app.box.com/s/yvp08s3w4bver2iwtva8t9mbt4tque71

For distance photos, the Graflexes are OK.

Is it a problem with parallax, rangefinder accuracy, or the lens not delivering IQ at short distances?

Hi WP,
There are a few issues.
Firstly I am tending to use the Graflex cameras to try out multiple lenses.
That means the rangefinders are usually out of service.
(My 4x5 rf is for the 135mm, and my 2x3 rf is for the 103mm

Secondly so far I don't like to use a tripod and ground glass.
When the rangefinders are out of service, the only way to focus is with the bed scales ( On the 4x5 I have added a scale for use on the other lenses)
Here is a photo where I did use the tripod and ground glass, and tilt to bring the near by fence into focus.
https://app.box.com/s/71zle4bsq15813bwvbjf

The Graflex cameras and their lenses perform OK when used like that.

A final issue when using the cameras to try various lenses, is that the bed infinity stops are not in service.
So in discussion with Apug and Dan Fromm, I have made a "jigger" for the 2x3 that allows the front standard to be accurately paralleled at infinity.
These have been used for a long time, the one I made is adjustable for various lenses. I have yet to make a longer one to suit the 4x5.

Thanks for the interest in the old cameras!

Very nice! I have the same strap on my 6x7, and i also own a c330 as well. The 6x7 ive had for a while, the 330 less than a month.

Which do you use more?

Lately I have been using the Mamiya C330 the most. Though bulky and heavy, it is easier to bring along with a couple of lenses than the Pentax 6x7. The C330 has shown itself to be quite easy and practical to use for street shooting. Most people don't know what it is anymore, and they don't expect a photo taken from waist level.
But as a system I like the Pentax 6x7 much better. My widest Mamiya-Sekor lens is 65mm. There is also a 55mm, but none of the two are particularly wide. My widest Pentax 6x7 is 45mm, and that is a brilliant lens. I also have the newest version of the 55mm. In the long end I have the 300mm shown above and also a 500mm, but that one is pretty heavy to tug along. All together there are so many fine lenses to be had for the 6x7 system.
I have used the 300mm handheld on the Pentax 645N with adapter with fine success. The 500mm requires a sturdy tripod.

I like the Op-Tech strap very much. It really seems to be weight-reducing.

BTW, here is a street shot I took with the Mamiya C330 and the 80mm F2.8. He did not notice me at all, but had I used the Pentax 6x7, the shutter noise might have given him a heart attack:

Camera: Mamiya C330 Professional
Lens: Mamiya-Sekor 80mm F2.8 (Blue dot)
Exposure: 1/125 @ F8 (Y2 filter + rubber hood)
Film: Fomapan 400 Action dev. in Compard R09 Spezial

I just weighed my 67 and my Busch Pressman.
The 67 with 90/2.8 and unmetered prism weighed basically the same as the Pressman and Caltar II-N 150/5.6.
Both weighed right about 5lbs (2.25kg). I didn't have the Speed Graphic to weigh but from memory it is noticeably heavier than the Pressman.
Internet research says a Pacemaker Speed Graphic and lens should weigh around 3.2kg, but I can't confirm this.
I was actually surprised that the 67 and Pressman weighed the same.

Your Speed Graphic should be capable of very good results close up, but you really need to use a tripod and ground glass focusing.
