Not sure this counts as gear p0rn; to me it is of historical interest. This is a serious amateur photographer's kit that I bought intact, with film, and accessories. It had been abandoned at someone's house for a decade or more and they were finally clearing it out (for $50). I find it interesting to see what someone had in their camera bag 20+ years ago.
There is a full list of items in a blog post I did about it at this link.

Well, the image is not displaying for me, and if that is true for you too, this link takes you to it (I hope).
Interesting find, thanks for posting! Also welcome to the forum.

Thanks Phil. There is an awful lot going on around these forums.

Looking at all the nice classics, I don't think ,one can be compared to them. I got my hands on a Z-1P for cheap and took over a friend's SMC A 50mm F1.2. I have paired them together.
The mighty 50/1.2 is always worthy of posting. And personally, I love the Z-1P, even if it has what we'll call reliability issues.

Some more pentaporn to help cancel out some of the treason (and stuff like my Bronica )

Yes, there are two non-pentax lenses in there. But what is there is this:

Pentax-F 17-28 f/3.5-4.5 Fisheye
Pentax-FA 80-320 f/4.5-5.6
Pentax-FA 35mm f/2
Pentax-FA 50mm f/1.4
Tokina AT-X Pro AF 28-70 f/2.8
Tamron 90mm f/2.8 Macro

And of course, the bodies are the ZX-50 with battery grip FG and the *ist (no bloody DL, DS, or D) with battery grip BG-20, cause CR2s are for suckers.

Nice bag of goodies!

I always wanted to get/try the F17-28FE, but alas it does not have built in filters. I assume it does have a rear mount gel holder?

Note that a new fish-eye zoom is the only non-prime on the current projected lens road map from Ricoh-Pentax. I think that since Pentax originated such a lens during the film era it has become a popular design.

A *ist was the last of my film-era Pentax bodies, but not my favorite AF model. I always liked my ZX 5n, perhaps because still had a shutter-speed dial. At that time, after so many years of having one, any camera lacking a shutter speed dial seemed to me less than a real camera.

Thanks, Phil! I am quite proud of it. Oddly, a friend walked into my office at work to show me a camera he got at a pawn store, and that lens was glommed on the front. I convinced him it wasn't the best choice for a lens to learn with, and bought it from him for $100 on the spot. I later sold him a 28-90 zoom for his Pentax instead as a better "Learner lens." As far as I can tell, it doesn't look like it has a gel holder. Would a shot of the back of the lens help?

I would love to see this roadmap. I took a shine to the *ist when I first started with K-mount, it fulfilled my wish of a digital Pentax that took film (Multi metering modes, bracketing, AF, etc). I sold mine to a friend at one point, but traded to get one back, then found the one I'm using now on eBay. Unfortunately, the little select dial on the top tends to break and only spin one way. The body i'm using now is the only one of FOUR owned by me and my friend that works. Other than that, the camera's brilliant, even if the AF isn't as impressive as I thought it was initially. I had considered a ZX5N, and even an MZs, but the ZX50 came as a trade from a forum member and I"m digging it It's really quiet, and comfortable to hold. Good size and weight.

The most recent lens introduction roadmap was posted on a thread called something like "my personal roadmap." The official lenses upcoming included four primes: ultra wide, wide, normal and medium tele, with the latter three being "high speed," plus a "fish-eye zoom."

Yeah I just checked an old Pentax lens guide and it looks like the F17-28FE does not have a gel holder. Still a very nice lens, maybe some day.............

A man with two watches never knows what time it is. So where does that leave me? I just like a little exposure.

Be methodical, Take a reading with each; set your exposure at the average.

Good advice. I was attempting humor, however; getting exposure is what we all want!

I suspected (knew) that. I now have, I think, ten shoe-mount strobes, so naturally, I take a picture with each, and keep the one that turns out best.
