I think it's important to remember that all a camera's meter wants to do is interpret a scene as 18% gray. So when metering a shadow area, it's helpful to remember this. A camera will want to open up exposure when metering a shadow area to 18% gray -- a mid-tone -- when you may want to keep the shadow area at least somewhat dark. Unless you really do want to open up the shadows so they're a mid-tone. So be careful not to open up too much or you'll probably have burn-through in your highlights areas. I would instead look for mid-tones in the subject area and meter off these. A good way to open up the shadows, yet preserve the highs and mid-tones is to use fill-flash. I find it works very well.
Hence why I mentioned going a couple stops down from where it green's for the shadow, because I know green = zone 5, just depends on the latitude of my film and development how many stops away from it I want to adjust for (And if I care for the highlights or not depending on the scene, otherwise, bracketing).

Got my recently purchased Pentax Z-1p today. Took it out for a test on my new wheelchair camera mount.
Here it is mounted to the new mount, with the Refconverter-A, Cable Switch F, and FAJ 18-35mm.

Sweet rig! How's the Z-1p working out so far?

So far so good. Haven't seen the test roll, but I called the lab and it's ready and they say it looks really good.
It is a really nice clean camera. I'll try to get a better photo of the camera soon.

Probably Blasphemous for this sub-forum, but I did get another shot of my Pentax MX, alongside my newly arrived Pentax Q10.

I present, Mama Pentax, and Baby Pentax. (It's like if the film body decided to have kids after it turned 30, I figure the MX to be about the same age as me based on it's serial number, give or take a year).

The MX is currently loaded with Kodak TMax P3200.

For approximately $220 USD ... is it worth that much including the lens (working?) ( :P I'm not too familiar with the ES II )

That's 5 to 10 times the price you'll pay for an ES II (body only) on eBay.
