test it out with my partner's Oly 35rd.
Intrigued by the small padlock on the lhs.
My first 'good' camera was an Olympus Trip 35- similar configuration to this one - used it for several years until I left it on a park bench and walked away from it - oops.

Couldn't figure out what you were talking about for a while... It's just the original strap mounting ring.

Just can't express how happy I am to have my MX back! A long time ago, back when trees could walk, animals could talk, ships were made of wood and men from iron (nowadays it seems al reversed) I acquired this camera from my eldest brother who had it from his photography studies. The little I know about photography I learned with this camera. Eventually I stopped shooting film when digital came, but somehow I could never get myself to selling it.

Some time ago I decided I wanted to try analog again and dusted this little sucker. Seems these old camera's suffer more from not being used as (to put it in the words of Robin from Harrow Technical where I sent it to for servicing) "its a bit of a wreck. The meter is not working, shutter speed indication in the viewfinder is broken, the mirror sticks, the fast speeds are non-exsistent, the counter is not working and all light seals need replacing, there is also a large dent in the top cover which you haven’t mentioned in your emails, probably at least a days work or more..."

The little dent I forgot to mention was there for as long as I remember, I didn't even notice it anymore. Might have something to do with my fall in Belfort, France when I was younger and more reckless (in my mind Belfort somehow is equivalent to loosing your ligaments), or maybe it was when the camera fell in the coal mine of Waterschei, Belgium, or maybe when it knocked on the rocks of Hadramaut, Yemen; which it was I really can't say. What I do know is, that it never failed me, the camera always performed like clockwork...

Cudos to Robin and the guys from Harrow Technical because as far as I can tell they did a hell of a job to making the camera alive again. Can recommend them if you have a Pentax 35mm camera lying around that needs servicing! Pentax Camera Repair Specialists - Harrow Technical

And now of loading a roll of T-Max...

What lens is that on the LX? It looks like it says 4.5/50 mm, but I can't find any such lens in the lens database.

Pentax M 28-50. You see only the last part of the encryption "SMC Pentax M-zoom 1:3.5 28mm - 1:4.5 50mm"

Bought it for next to nothing (20€ IIRC) and became in a very short time my most used lens (on film): small but surprisingly good...

Been trying to avoid picking up new gear as I already have all I really need and then some, but I came across this one: a Ciro-flex Model F — as far as I know, the only American TLR with a Tessar-type lens. Seeing as I recently rendered my Flexaret III nonfunctional,1 I managed to justify buying it. Probably 1951, given the proper DoF scale2 with model designation on the side and "Delaware, Ohio" nameplate on the front.3

Excellent condition — some oxidation on the viewfinder hood's springs, but no haze or rust. (Something the steel Ciro bodies are prone to.) Its only major flaw is that a previous owner appears to have been a heavy smoker, and the smell has fully permeated the case.

1. I accidentally cocked the self-timer lever, which jammed the shutter.
2. Early Model Fs used the same DoF plate as the Models D & E, which had a three-element 85mm f3.5 lens.
3. Graflex bought Ciro in the autumn of 1951, and at some point between then and early 1953, when they retired the Ciro brand, the nameplate changed to "Rochester, New York".

I have an MZ-6. Despite ostensibly being one of the lower range cameras in the MZ series I like it, except when it won't focus because the AF sensors are not cross type.

You've made me think I should take some p0rn shots of all my MZs together...

I was given a Pentax SF-7 body just for postage cost -- it works well -- even came with a good battery -- I have tried it our with several lenses and posted some samples in the 'F Club' section. It has NO 3mm co-axial flash socket which is a pain.also NO exposure compensation. I had to stick some paper over the 'DX' cassette contacts so it defaulted to 100ASA when I tried a test old 200 ASA film.

I've posted some more photos of this in the lenses forum here, but I thought the film folk might enjoy the 'new' Macro Tak I picked up...

I'd describe it as 'clean'

I have a "clean" copy of that lens, yours goes well beyond a clean copy.

I bought a Pentax A3000, a Mamiya-Sekor 1000 and a 50mm f1.4 takumar, which has a tiny bit of fungus in it- which explains why it was at least $80au off what they usually go for. All of these work quite well, especially the Mamiya cos I bought it for $5, as the bloke wanted it out of his store!

Playing around with the new to me M 85/2. Looking for things to try it out on. I thought what would be better than cameras to test out a new lens.
