Not a Pentax, but I just found this in a box of photo gear that a friend of mine who passed away this past July left for me.

Some film shots of my two Canon EOS 30s to finish off a roll at the end of summer.

I have a Rollei 35 purchased back in the 1980's, I believe exactly the same (Singapore made with f3.5 Tessar). SFAIK it still works, and I still have the original lens cap (very easily lost), but my son when using it dropped it, so it has a ding in the top plate. That probably dropped the value about 75%.

Because the monetary values of the 35 seem to vary greatly, I'd say that this one is worth more as a shooter. It's tiny, unique, and so well made that I'd rather use it than put it on ebay and risk getting only $50 for it and then of course only seeing $35 after all the crap ebay and Paypal fees.

Just picked up these two. Both look brand new. The K might be slightly stiffer than I'd like, but definitely not as stiff as some of the old soviet lenses... I was really after the 50mm, but then saw the rating of the 35 and was really surprised that it was rated higher than the 31 and the 43 limited, and just behind the 77. Looking forward to trying it out!

You've never heard the term? Guess not. It's USA military for "Kitchen Patrol," inflicted on enlistees as punishment. It put you under the thumb of the kitchen staff to do any task they found too onerous such as peeling several sacks of potatoes, scrubbing out all the huge cooking pots, cleaning the mess hall after a meal until it was speck-less. A small step above latrine duty. My post was meant to be a joke - - an assignment that was drudgery, but applied to a Pentax it's bliss.
