So, is Across basically Fuji's T-Max, then? The roll I've had developed reminds me of T-Max with the sharp detail, and very high contrast.
I shoot a lot of Tmax (both 100 and 400) and have occasionally shot Acros100. To me they look very, very different.

I'd compare Tmax to Ilford Delta 100 and 400, but I haven't shot anything that looks anything like Acros.

This extraordinary camera is available on e-bay in the EU, I had no idea that anything like this was ever made.

Jules Richard Verascope F40 = French

I came across one of these at a boot sale in Poitiers of all places, but the guy knew what it was ... he wanted 200€ and his was in pretty poor shape overall ... not near worth the risk. Shame.

And what happens if you use different focal length lenses on each of the mounts? Or different filters. Certainly, you wouldn't get what was intended, but it might be interesting...

These remind me of my first 35mm camera:
Name: Realist.jpg
Views: 269
Size: 163.2 KB
The Stereo Realist was very popular in the 1950s, and is all my dad used for 30 years. I have his Kodachrome slides now. So when I was in high school he gave me a Realist also.
The RF and VF eyepieces were at the bottom of the camera, so you used it pressed against your forehead, which made it very steady. They were quite well made, and focused by moving the film plane instead of the lenses.
Dad quit using his when Kodachrome 25 ceased. These took vertical images, slightly larger than half-frame, so needed very fine grain film. I might try some Velvia while it is still available.

that kind of looks like a one-off. the lenses aren't linked like most stereo cameras, so it seems you would have to focus each lens separately, which is probably why there are two rangefinders/viewfinders.

EDIT: I just googled it--it is a third party mod:

An acquaintance gave me a gorgeous "Big C" Retina the other day, so of course I needed a photo of it next to the "small c" that I've had for a few years.

Both are in near perfect working condition. I've shot with the IIIc, but haven't put film through the IIIC yet.
