I guess you're right. I just looked it up and it appears that they stopped making them in 2010 but the announcement that they were discontinuing the model didn't come until may of 2018.
I guess sales weren't as robust as they were expecting? Or maybe they just said, 'here's our run, we'll see how long it lasts', then announced the discontinuation when the last one left the warehouse...

It looks like they used a 'V' badge by the same people who made the 'L' badge on my ZX-L. I guess there are probably little plastic squares around with all the Roman numerals...

Canon did something similar to this with the T90. All T90s you'll come across have a build year of 1986, but it wasn't until 1990 that Canon announced the T90 had been discontinued. Within a couple months of the announcement, dealer stocks of new T90s everywhere were quickly depleted. That must have been a really big run.

Which one was it that stuck around a few more years? Was it the T60?

Dunno, maybe. But the T60 was built by Cosina, so it doesn't really count.

Ah, the Cosina model sold in several mounts under even more brands. So, at least K, F, and FD mounts. Pentax didn't pass of a Cosina as one of their own, to my knowledge, though.

It was also made with a Minolta SR mount. Some say that the P30T (not the N) is this same Cosina camera.

Given that the P30T and P30N share most of the same body parts,* wonder if a different model might be considered? FWIW, I don't believe that Cosina made a KA mount camera.

Steve

* Also essentially similar to the P30. The P50 deviated from the others.

The flat we're staying in in Edinburgh has good light from the windows in the morning so I got a couple of shots of the ME I'm using for film while I'm over. Taken with the X-M1 and 35mm f/1.4.

Gotta love the size of the ME and ME Super (I own the latter). It does look quirky with a 100mm lens on it though.

The ME just looks right with the M 40mm lens.

the pancake? Never seen one with it. Would love to see a shot of one.

In my post I was referring to my own, which when not in use, serves as the rear lens cap for my M100/4

Hmm, I should take such a picture when I get home.

Yeah, the small size of the ME makes medium/large lenses seem out of place.

It looks smaller on the KX or K-3.
