When Fuji announced the pending discontinuation of Acros 100 there was a run on supplies and all the major retailers were sold out in days. I was just getting back into film at the time, so I missed it. This morning I went looking for some ektachrome to preorder, and two places had Acros 100 in 120 format and one place had it in 35mm, so I ordered 4 120 propacks (20 rolls.). I don’t know if this was one last shipment, but it was well enough timed that I decided to give it a try, especially for the reciprocity characteristics.

120

Fujifilm Neopan Acros 100 ISO 120 size - 5 pack | Freestyle Photographic Supplies

35
Fuji Neopan Acros 100 ISO 35mm x 36 exp. | Freestyle Photographic Supplies.
That reminds me that I have an unopened pack of Across 100 (120)...

I had told myself that there was no point learning a film that was discontinued. I didn't want to order from Japan on ebay. The occasional rolls that showed up on photrio's classifieds just didn't seem worth the time. So I wrote the idea off. When I saw these on thefindlab, I figured I'd buy some to experiment with long exposure, which is something I've never done. If I limit the 20 rolls to long exposure stuff, it will last quite a while for me.

I guess that would depend on how long the exposures were.

Yep, sometimes they run over onto additional rolls.

I was in my local photo supply store yesterday ordering some new Ektachrome and found this in the consignment section. Looks like it has never seen a roll of film through it.

Oddly, I never thought of that, nor whether I could enlist Phil to connect me with the seller. Yikes - GAS exhausted?

Apparently, you are in recovery. I, unfortunately, just placed a bid on a Zenit.
