Thanks. I'm wondering if I have a big enough tripod too. I will use two tripods for sure though. One on the lens and one on the body.
I use a long lens support attached to the main tripod for the 6x7 body. Works pretty well and keeps the 600/4 & body steady. Also look into getting the outer bayonet extension tubes for closer shooting distances.

Enjoy!

Phil.

Thanks. I got the lens at an estate sale. You know, there were some of those extension tubes there. I took a quick look at them and though those are different then the lady grabbed them and said they go with the 6x7 that was there for sale. I had too much stuff going on to give it much though. Dang.

Picked up what looked like a barely used Pentax P30T from ebay. Waited patiently for it to arrive and it does indeed look to be hardly used at all. Meter seems to be accurate, shutter seems good. Ran a film through it today, so I will know soon if everything is good. Pretty happy with it. Not bad for $30.
I think I remember having that tab open for a little! I almost got it, was super cheap for the condition

You may want to contact him sooner rather than later about it. There's no telling how long he will continue. It seems that all of the most trusted repairmen have all been retiring here lately.

Welcome to Mark Hama Ltd.
I should get my Yashica Electro fixed before it's too late then!

Sold off some gear I wasn't using and picked this up at the same time.

What do I need with a swing-lens? I dunno, but it should be fun.

I've had some great fun with my Horizont, the daddy to your new toy. Enjoy!

Hey felixkh, I've got an LX, and now I'm curious -- what's the difference between the early LX and later ones?

This explains the differences pretty well:

Lovely combo, congratulations!
However, I would assume that the hood you pictured is quite a bit too long for the A50/1.2. You might check this using the method I explained here a while ago.

There is another photo that shows the length to be quite typical and similar to what I use when shooting film at that focal length.

BTW...cool method for checking hood/filter stack depth.
