I've got three, one pre-bashed and two near mint. Pentax's plan worked, with the numbers sold & longevity. Renewed interest from Hipsters can only be good (while those in the know can get a KX/MX instead). The simpler the better with old cameras, mechanical self timers are very complicated and can jam the normal shutter release if all gunked up.

I'll second that - she's beautiful.

Here's my K2DMD, which I was out shooting yesterday morning, not with the K50/1.4 pictured here, but with the A 50mm f/2.8 macro used to take the pictures. I really should have cleaned up the camera a bit before taking the close-ups.

That hood there looks interesting. I have a 35-105 myself, but lack the hood. Originally it should be a rubber hood, but yours is metal? Are you happy with it?

It's a 67mm screw-on metal hood bought on Ebay for a few bucks. The outer thread is 72mm and allows to use filters. Works fine.

I just scored this exceptional Retina II for $37. It's kinda interesting in that it's a type 014 but it has the older style shutter speed dial from the type 011.

Who needs more than one lens? PC35 edition

I have been trying to find one of these that works and isn't ridiculously overpriced for a while.
I may have finally done it...

It seems to work, though the light seals are a bit sticky, and the film transport doesn't like the roll of 36 I'm currently using to test it (what was I thinking?) so I have to be slow and gentle to advance the film.
Impressively, however, the flash goes up and down, and everything seems to be working.

I had one years ago that basically fell apart in my hand, so I know they're fragile, but I liked it a lot when I had it...
