I bought a Z-5p and it arrived today. Nice camera and all works well. One minor problem is the crack in the baseplate near the battery latch. (Or is this not a crack but just part of the design) It doesn't effect use. I do notice this is a very common problem on Z-1 bodied. It seems all parts cameras are already broken here. Do anyone have a good solution? I thought I'd epoxy it...but u might just be better off ignoring it.

Pre-broken parts is one of those unheralded "advances" in the photography industry.

Yes, it was a huge time saver when introduced in the 1990s.

The crack lines up with the battery door hinge perfectly and the edges of the crack are almost smooth...made the think it might supposed to be that way.

Yup. It was part of the fashion in the nineties, like jeans with premade holes in them.

It's a Horseman LE with a bag bellows (because of the wide angle lens) and a Schneider 90mm Grandagon N f/6.8 lens.

Nice, I am intrigued by large format photography, but I have so far fought off the urge.

I started down this road a while ago but it stalled for a while. Just starting to get back into it. It's perfect for my interest in historic architecture.

Taken for the "Single in..." challenge using my K50/4 macro. It was a foul day weather-wise so an indoor image seemed the way to go...
