Sorry to interrupt this “how much my gear weighs” with an actual post of gear porn.

SMC 50/1.2 K Mount. Does this qualify?

I shall not today attempt further to define the kinds of material I understand to be embraced within that shorthand description ["gear porn"], and perhaps I could never succeed in intelligibly doing so. But*I know it when I see it, and in this case it is.

One of the things I love about some of these old, high-end lenses is that they don't brag about it.

There's no extra trim, no weird designation, no completely different body color.
Here, just 1:1.2 50mm

Super Takumar 28mm f/3.5 on the K5 my wife usually uses. 1980's vintage strap came with a Super Program kit.

Bill: Technically that photo is lens porn, but it is Art lens porn.

Just got my eyes examined. Seems I'll need glasses - both eyes require f1.2 correction . . .

I can empathize. As of a few years ago my prescription wasn't uniform, but I should get checked again. My left eye is almost certain worse now.

Great shots! You guys must have wanted to be optometrists when you were kids?

Certosport 6.5x9 with Schneider Kreuznach Xenar f:4.5 F=10,5 cm

Photo taken with EBC Fujinon-T 1:2.5 f=135mm, merged from two frames at f/2.5 and f/4, using mostly the blue channel for a soft focus effect.

I was lucky enough to pick up this unbranded copy of the smaller Certosport from around 1930 for a very decent price. Fitted with a Rada 6x9 roll film back, its uncoated Tessar type lens produces images of surprising quality. As befits a lady from the 1930, I portrayed her in a slightly soft-focus style with little depth of field. The camera is in fine shape with everything functioning as it should, except that the lens standard is a little loose and hand-held shots tend to have motion blur from actuating the shutter.

A sample from the first roll of film is here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/8-pentax-film-slr-discussion/53503-cool-...ml#post4864157

Found an FT-1 to join the Konishuroku herd of mine. (flock? gaggle? murder?)
Has a few minor issues to address, but overall it's reasonably well-cared for and is shooting great after a clean-up.
