Thanks. I've posted a couple of pictures using this camera so far.

Ricohmatic 225. I bought this off Ebay this past summer as "tested -- works!!" but the film advance was not working at all. Not sure what kind of testing the seller did. I got it for cheap though, so I sent it off to Mark Hansen in Wisconsin for a CLA and fix of the film transport. Just got it back yesterday. I will run a roll of film through it tonight to test it, but all looks god so far.

This was the same camera my father had when I was a kid. I played with it lots and it still kept shooting, and eventually I learned photography on this camera, so I am thrilled to have one in working order.

Shooting color or B&W? What are you doing for processing?
I've got some Graphic 6x8 roll film backs for my 4x5 Technika, so I have options, just so hard to shoot film the days,
Leaf shutters likely need exercise, if not cleaning.

I shoot mostly BW but I do shoot color now and then. I develop my own BW and C-41. But I just picked up some E-6 chemicals and plan on doing some slide film both in 120 roll and sheet film this year.

Honestly the best & most natural-feeling focusing method I've ever experienced on a TLR. If I didn't have enough TLRs already, I'd probably pick one up.

My latest gearp0rn.

The Spotie (second version) with a hefty 35mm F2, the Super-Takumar made between 1964 and 1967. The lens weighs in at almost 500gr.

Nice find! I swapped my ST35/2 for a truly mint black MX which probably was a mistake. I would use the lens but the MX only comes out once a year, and that’s only to energize the electronics and exercise the mechanicals.

I’d love to trade my ST35/f2 for a mint black MX!

Don't know about the lens, but its astonishing that the book is worth 10 times the Spottie sitting on it. The only one on abebooks is listed at £488! I've given up trying to get a copy. Sadly, no British library holds one so I can't even just borrow it! I wonder why the publisher doesn't reprint it?

I read it the other way (35/2 for MX). Contextual dyslexia?

I found these Press 25 flashbulbs at a garage sale. If I can pickup more, I think I'll get a flashbulb attachment for my Crown Graphic. These are pretty strong and have a long duration. The guide number on the back of the box is 280 for 100 film @ 1/30 shutter speed which is about equal to 25ft/7.6m at f11 decreasing down to a guide number of 130 @ 1/500. By contrast my AF400T flash is about 12ft/3.7m at f11.

I puzzled for a few seconds on the guide number calculations until I realized those are long duration bulbs.
