So you've still got some Efke film kicking around I see?
I've got maybe 3-4 rolls of Efke 25 in the fridge waiting for... I don't know what

In my highly objective and unbiased view, the SV is the nicest M42 body around

Well now, that’s amazing. I used to take stereo pictures on slides using the Pentax accessory back in the 80s, and re- found the stereo adapter maybe ten years ago. Having taken some digital stereo pairs, I developed the ability to stare at the screen and merge the two images into a single 3D image - and I can do that with these two SV photos! They’re clearly two different bodies (different serial numbers) but they must be placed just right, because I can merge them and see 3D images for both!

Because Photography has been a big part of both me and my wife's life and each of our family's before, we have a collection of cameras, which likely will never get used again, but mean something to us. I've been thinking about displaying them but could not bear the idea of them getting covered in dust. I've been talking about making something, but have not found the time or motivation to do that either.
Found this cabinet at Ikea, pretty much fits the bill, smallish footprint, and style wise fits the glass and metal theme of cameras.

Top shelf for Pentax; my LX, my Dad's Spotmatic, and my MX

Middle shelf for a Rollei and a Yashica TLR that my wife's family used, and a Konica my dad bought in the late '50s, and I used as my introduction to photography in the late '70s.

The bottom for my Linhof Technica IV and a Norwood Director meter that my wife acquired.

Can't afford to give up more floor space for another case, may add some more inside this one or rotate stuff in and out.

A great display of cameras, but I'm not sure I'd trust Ikea to hold it up

It is, and wonderfully smooth in use, I can tell that it's original owner (it only had one owner before me) took good care of it. I think it may be my favourite 35mm SLR from those I've tried so far. The K2 DMD (all the K series for that matter) are functionally very similar with a very similar size and weight, but the winding action is a little less smooth and the shutters make more of a "clunk"/"ker-chunk" sound while the Minolta's shutter is much more of a "snick".

If you want a more striking comparison, lock the mirrors up on both bodies.
