Nice! I love that version of the Minolta logo. I am resisting the temptation to expand my 35mm SLR collection beyond Pentax. No room, and what I have doesn't get used enough apart from my main favourites.

Yep, same here. My occasional dabbling in other systems has admittedly gotten out of hand. I'm building up Minolta, Nikon, and Olympus equipment but there wasn't that intent originally. Can't use it all and can't really justify collecting much beyond Pentax. No room so stuff is going to have to go.

I resisted for a time but the lure was too strong, especially when a bargain comes along. I got my first Minolta in a charity shop with the 35/2.8 for £30 and a 50/1.7 for another £15. I considered asking them to sell me just the camera & the 50 for £30 and leave the 35 but for £15 it was a good deal and I'm glad I got both as they're both really great lenses.

Yes it's good shape and has had a CLA. There is some normal cosmetic marks not seen in the picture though.

Leica IIIg with Summarit 1.5. Snapshot taken with Leica M2, 50 Dual Range Summicron (with closeup goggles), Arista EDU 400 (Foma) in Rodinal, straight scan with V850 - no adjustments except resize. This film in Rodinal is grainy, but appears sharp. The IIIg model pictured was the last-gasp of the traditional Leica screw-mount cameras, but actually came out a few years after the M3 Bayonet mount series. The IIIg came out in 1957, about the same time as the M2 model.

I like the tall, knurled knobs on the camera. A sign the camera engineers/designers actually used the product they design. The engineer/designer who did the knobs/lever/switch of my Noblex 135U failed both in not having any common sense and understanding the function of them.

If I were to get a screw mount Leica, it would be the IIIf or IIIg. Beauty and function combined. In the mean time, I make due with a Zorki and a FED.

I think my FED2 and my Huawei phone are the closest I'm going to get to a Leica.

6x7 Takumar 600/4 next to some M-mount lenses for a size difference.
