Hi Steve,

No. That is automotive lacquer. Powder coat will probably be stronger and more resistant but I don't have the equipment for that.

Mostly a wire wheel on a Dremel and metal polish. You can check the progress thread for more details.

I've been eyeing that lens a lot lately, the lack of rangefinder coupling is the only thing that puts me off at all, but I scale focus 75% of the time with my 35, so it really wouldn't be a big deal.

I also have the regular RF coupled version. The snapshot version is great for cameras w/o focusing mechanisms like the 1f, Bessa L etc.
