Just about all of them have this problem. I think they get knocked out of position very easily. It is an easy fix in a service and not the end of the world if you don’t want to do that.

K1000 - back from Eric and recovered with Hugo Studio camera leather



Eric had to do so much work to it including new metering, new film transport, swapping out top and bottom plates and therefore a new Serial number - not sure he didnt just send me a new old camera. the camera was gifted me so not over capitalised - looks good for another 30 years of use.

Just bought this Nikon FE (without the lens) from the same charity shop I got the recent MX from.

It's almost immaculate. The back has some white polystyrene from the box stuck to it but it is coming off. It even has the screw in eyepeice still in place. That's normally the first thing to disappear on this style Nikon.

Very nice. I recently picked up an FE also. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite Nikons.
